Hi crc-error404,
firstly thanks for your great work. Although I am still having troubles to set the CPU frequency to 2.4 GHz as it keep saying the processor is 2.2 GHz which it is not. I have Core2Duo 2.4 GHz. Do you have any idea how to allow the higher frequency?
thanks mate
btw: for all the other despearate people trying to install Lion here is what I have done.
1. take the HDD off my Dell and connect to a mac (or hackintosh)
2. format HDD with two partitions. The second one 8GB right at the end of the disk
3. restored the Lion 1.7 GM DMG into the second partition
4. install the Chameleon 2.0 RC5 of newer to the second partition (be carefull where are you installing it to)
5. copy the M4300_Extra.zip to the second partition
6. put the HDD back to the Dell Precision
7. boot from the HDD with arch=i386
8. install Lion as on real mac
9. install Chameleon on the first partition
10. install the M4300_Extra.zip stuff
11. update Lion to the current state via "Software update"
12. rebooted several times (freezes) - It somehow fixed itself during the forced reboots
13. done, even the sleep/wakeup works!
Worked like charm except the CPU speed issue
