  1. ok I currently have 10.6 installed on my d620 if I upgrade with the combo update I loose my wifi and cannot recover it. I have the kext written down somewhere I will have to find it. Is the order of operations Install edp 1.9.2 (and configure) d/l and install updates set up kexts with a kext tool? Been working at this for a while and just looking for some clarity. Thanks all. I did the inital 10.6 install using Leppy700m's method.
  2. I've got a question that has probably been asked but is it possible now to install lion on a d620 with nvidia graphics with a 32 bit processor. I have seen some releases in iFail so I figured I would try and clear the air regarding this issue. Thanks all.
  3. From the looks of the activity log, it would appear on the larger drive is running 1.9 and the new bcm5751Ethernet.kext is present in the extensions sub folder on Extra. Hopefully I am barking up the right tree here...
  4. The thing that makes this odd at least to me is I have 10.6.8 installed with wifi working on a much larger hard drive, for the time being I would like to scale back to stock. At the moment I cannot remember what edp I used...what at this point is recommended?
  5. sorry if I keep asking the same question a million times, but just what do I need to do to get SL 10.6.8 to recognize my wifi card, I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall here. Thanks for all your help.
  6. Just full of questions today guys, I got 10.6.0 back up and running, I was using leppy700m's boot disk and now have wifi. Do I need to skip the post install stuff on his disk and just go with the 1.9.2 EDP after I upgrade to 10.6.8? Also another question, what are the odds of getting lion running on the d620 I know its 32bit and Lion is x64, just wanted to know what the odds were. Thanks again all.
  7. I have removed all connections shows airport card not configured, hit the add interface selection button, default interface is airport, default name is airport, clicked on create applied settings, under enter the name of network I added my network name, and security type and entered PW, still wont turn on, got a feeling that I am missing a step. Thanks for the help all.
  8. For starters great community going on here, however I am having some issues at the moment I am currently running 10.6.8 on a d620 with 14E4:4311 Broadcom BCM 4311 802.11b/g WLAN adapter and for the life of me I cannot get it to function, If memory serves it was working prior to the EDP update of 18 Nov. Should I be running the more current 2.x edp to remedy this issue, or am I possibly missing a step here, any help would be appriecated and if more information is needed I will try and provide it as best I can. Thanks.
