  1. Good point Hervé, you should get in on the money if i had something to say about it. But it will gain my profile at the company so i might make a personal contribution. I got everything up on the D430 and have also gotten both ML and Mav... up and running om both Optiplex 3010 and 7010 also. Where are all the old bootpacks, can we reach them in any way, maybe they were not good but i used them for many machines. The same with EDP, i would like an offline version when i do not have network, the old ones could be used without network as i remember it. Hope we get all the models back in the compability/bootpack list again. Thanks for all the work!!!
  2. Thank you very much for this! I wil test it today, i am doing this for work purposes, if it works it will save us a bunch of money.
  3. I am following this guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2467-dell-latitude-d430-intel-gma950-ml-with-full-qeci/ I can put ML on my D430 and start it, i can use ML Postfactor etc. BUT i cannot get any network interfaces up to be able to run EDP5 Can someone point me to the right kext for ethernet or/and wifi, it would be most helpful with a link also if possible. I then intend to install it with kexthelper if you don't have a better alternative, if so please advice me. /niklas
  4. I added a folder called modules under Extra on the myHack usb install stick and copied in the kernelpatcher.dylib. When i booted on that i can se that patching is taking place and in the end it reports that i have patched kernel and i get Mac Framework successfully initialized etc. but it stays stuck with this message in the last line, still no graphics. "hfs: mounted myHack OS X 10.9 Install Disk on device root_device" -- -- When i use the kernelpatcher.dylib with the custom kernel for ML i get stuck on "system uptime in nanoseconds" -- -- Another question came up when i looked in the myHack alternatives, there is an alternative to "patch apple intel cpu power management", could i use this to patch my existing 10.8.4 ML installation and be able to update to 10.8.5 and latest iTunes maybe? I guess i shall patch after update and before restart then.
  5. Thanks for all replys, i guess i need a custom kernel again as i got for ML. Can someone help me with this, i have looked in SVN where i was pointed to the earlier custom kernel, and i can only find a folder for "ml", nothing for Mavericks. https://osxlatitude-edp.googlecode.com/svn/model-data/Shuttle_XS35GT_804/ml/custom_kernel
  6. I tried to use the custom kernel and widh that ML booted fine but still not Mavericks, in the Mavericks boot usb i got "uptime in nanoseconds" with the custom kernel. Maybe i need another kernel still for Mavericks? I will look into patching kernels with dylib, that is totally new ground for me. I have made a working clone now of my ML disk so i can experiment a bit more. I am thinking of trying to upgrade to Mavericks via appstore but i guess it will be broken as with 10.8.5 then.
  7. @Jake Lo I did not replace the kernel for a custom one as i needed to months ago because since then i have reinstalled with only the bootpack as it is. I beleive that the right kernel (the custom one) has been put in the bootpack since then so it would work out of the box. My machine is exactly the right Shuttle XS35 that is in the compatible machine list and there is bootpacks for ML and Mavericks there. I will try with the custom kernel today just for the hell of it of course. 8. I have previously posted this thread: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2764-need-help-with-shuttle-xs35-gt/ I have now for some time had ML up and running very stable and been able to install all updates until 10.8.4. After 10.8.5 and latest iTunes the installation was broken so i reverted to 10.8.4. Now i am in the process of trying to install Mavericks and for that purpose i made a new 10.9 boot usb stick with the bootpack for this but i cannot get any graphics to start the installation. Just when the graphic mode shall start the screen goes black. I then tried to make a new ML bootstick but the same thing happened there, no graphics. I have previously made a working bootstick with the bootpack for ML and before that i had to use a custom kernel so the graphic mode has been working before with previous versions of the bootpack for ML. I need help with how to solve this, i have tried bootflags as -x -v -f GraphicsEnabler=NO and YES, pciuid....2000 3000 and nothing helps. It does not seem to be a kernel panic i just cannot get the screen to show the picture, the screen senses a signal because it does not go to sleep.
  9. I am back reading this thread as i am reinstalling OS X on my XS35 GT. The Boot 0 error was fixed using this information http://www.mymac4music.com/2011/10/boot0-error/
  10. I need some more helt it seems. I have gotten ML up and running but i had problems getting Facetime to verify against apple so i could not start it and i could not log in to appstore. I tried many solutions but ended up reinstalling ML and now i have working factime BUT no chameleon bootloader. I dont know what to do but i do not get a working bootloader via EDP, MyHack or even the standalone Chameleon Bootloader install pkg. It just says "boot 0 error" when i try to boot from my OS X disk. I still boot from the My Hack stick and am seeking for a solution to get a working bootloader installed.
  11. I have tried the fix on the page http://www2.osxlatitude.com/how-to-fix-icloud-appstore-facetime/ and several more i found on the internet such as changing the hosts file, deleting networks and files and rebooting. Using autoupdate for time, changning the serial numger etc. BUT nothing helps. I keep getting "server has encountered an error...." message after Facetime has found my id with phone number and mail adress as contacts, then when it shall verify and send me a mail... it just jumps back with that message. I can use iCloud and i am logged in to iMessage, i can not log in to the store i get an error message there also and then as i said there is the Facetime problem, i can not get verified because of an server error. Does this work for everyone here or have you solved it in some way?
  12. The usb network adapter worked well and after i had run EDP i got sound also. I connected it to my tv today (Philips 47PFL7403H) but i got no picture either on VGA or HDMI. The install seems very stable and starts time after time even if i kill it with the button time after time. I have no idea what to do to get my Philips LCD recognize and show OS X. Hdmi to my screen at work was flawless and the same for VGA but the TV is not recognized in the same way. Is there any program for this or driver package....?
  13. Thanks for all the help this far. I have ML up and running very stable. HDMI works both as standalone screen and as second screen if the VGA also is connected. I tried a 1080p blueray rip and it ran smoothly on the ION2. I have bought this Wlan Adapter http://www.tp-link.com/lk/products/details/?model=TL-WN725N and i hope to be able to run EDP tomorrow when i have installed it. I have tried it on my Macbook Pro with ML and it worked perfectly with this driver http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true I will use the XS35GT primary as a Facetime device at my livingroom TV to be able to have full room Facetime with my brother in Australia. I tried a Microsoft Lifecam HD today and it worked fine with ML. If this finally works out i will have a nice MacMini for under 300$
  14. Do you have any idea wich USB Network Card he used or maybe what i should buy that is recognized by ML?
  15. Is there any drivers/kexts i can load in some way to get the wlan or physical adapter to work in the Shuttle XS35 GT? Who put it in the supported list? I still do not know what to expect, what is supported and what is not? ML works stable and fine but maybe a bit slow on this machine
