Well I use the stock mach_kernel which is patched by Clover (rev2435 provided by amokk) when I boot, with the MacBook Air 6,2 SMBios. Power Management is handled by the kernel (XCPM) and I have this P-States : 8,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32. There is a big hole between 8 and 24. Is someone success to have more P-States ? EDIT : RehabMan seems to have best result with MacBookPro 8,3 if someone have tried tell me

Thanks amokk for the Voodoo patch now sound is better !! Power Management seems to be working : the fan is always quiet when I do basics things and speed up when I play to Portal Playing on Mac OS X is not very easy because of the lack of the Nvidia card but the Intel HD 4600 is not so bad for some old games Which app can I use to check the P-States ? So now all is working except Wifi, sleep, bluetooth, touchscreen, battery indicator. I read some people have a working bluetooth and battery indicator ; if someone have a solution, I'll try it Thanks EDIT : battery indicator fixed with voodoo battery But the brightness is not working for me

Mini Guide because I don't have the time : 1) Create a Vanilla Media Installation : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/ Go straight to Part 2 - Creating the installer Follow the steps 2.0. Preparing the USB and 2.1. Creating the OS X installer on the USB drive You don't need to download anything, just the Mavericks Install app from the AppStore (free). EDIT : here is the stock mach_kernel that I have already extracted : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11106337/mach_kernel Now you have a vanilla installation media with the stock kernel like for a real mac. 2) Install the Clover bootloader on ANOTHER USB KEY from windows use BootDiskUtility : http://cvad-mac.narod.ru/index/0-5 from mac os x use the clover installer : http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded)/ now you have Clover installed on the USB key Replace the EFI folder of the root of the USB key with this one : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11106337/EFI.zip (thanks to Amokk, I have done only one little mod) 3) Boot in UEFI (EDIT : I use the stock BIOS settings) - insert the Clover USB key and the Media Installation Key - start the laptop - press F2 to go to the UEFI BIOS - Select your Clover USB key - Now you are on the clover boot menu - select your USB media and press enter - the installer will boot 4) Install Mac OS X 5) Boot the installed OSX - remove installation media - boot on the clover USB key - select your installed Mac OS X This work for me. Good luck

Well, I had the same issue with my External HDD which I used as Time Machine backup so it's not "Mac hard drive" related. I think this is just the Disk Utility who have messed up with the partition flags (My Disk Utility was saying "this disk was formated for BootCamp"). I did full wipe with Disk Utility and created a new GPT partition table. An other solution may exist but I don't know it I used to partition using different tools like Gparted, Disk Utility or Windows Disks, but not anymore because I had to many problems when I switched to an other tool : right now I always use Gparted for major disk changes and no problem

I was absent a lot of time so I didn't follow all the topic. Amokk said : "No need in custom kernel" -> I still have to replace the stock mach kernel to boot Thanks to Vincent and Amokk for the DSDT ! But from which BIOS version did you extract and fix it ? (I'm on BIOS 207) Oh and I update to 10.9.1 without any problem (the update did not replace the mach_kernel) so if somemone was waiting, he can update right now

    Asus n550

Hi, I have an N550JV too and I've installed 10.9 All work except Wifi, sleep, battery, nvidia card, imessage & facetime auth Wifi : no support I think we need replace but there is maybe a WLAN Whitelist in BIOS Bluetooth : seems working OOB but not detecting any devices -> if someone has a solution tell me Sleep : we can fix this with DSDT edit Battery : VoodooBattery doesn't work -> we can fix this with DSDT edit or maybe patched AppleSmartBatteryManager.kext Nvidia Card : even if MacBook Pro can use it, nobody never success enable it on a hackintosh, so for now we can just try to turn off it -> DSDT edit Fn Hotkeys : works for Volume and for Brightness but brightness is not modified. And keyboard backlight keys don't work Sound : work with VoodooHDA but it's not perfect so the best is DSDT edit + patched AppleHDA.kext So right now we have to clean our DSDT because this will allow us to get working several things. I began with macIASL but the stock DSDT (BIOS 207, last version from asus) already contains 8 errors. Some errors are simple like a lack of " " but some other are more complicated I don't have good known in DSDT edit but I hope we can learn together A last thing : I've found the Nvidia Optimus Table in the last SSDT table ; the method "_OFF" will be useful to turn off the card at boot but before we need a clean DSDT. Maybe we can have help from the linux community because some things like Brightness key doesn't work even on linux (buggy DSDT). Good luck to everyone and please share any news ! PS : Clover applys mask on the DSDT so extract your tables on Windows or Linux
