  1. Can anyone tell me which kext handles the shutdown? When i do a shutdown, the D630C actually does a restart and I have to use the power button to perform the shutdown. Thanks very much!!
  2. I have re-installed and installed the Intel ethernet kext only - have not run EDP - but - network is working fine now. So, I'm suspecting that the EDP database for the D630 isn't totally correct for the D630C. So, I will now start to install the additional kexts for battery etc. and make sure they don't impact the ethernet connection.
  3. Contents are: AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext AppleHDADisabler.kext ApplePS2Controller.kext FakeSMC.kext Intel82566MM.kext IntelCPUMonitor.kext IOATAFamily.kext lspcidrv.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext Patched_10.7_AppleRTC.kext SleepEnabler.kext VoodooBattery.kext VoodooHDA.kext VoodooPState.kext VoodooTSCSync.kext.
  4. Yes - I get the 169.254.x.x generic IP address with a 255.255.0.0 submask - it's nothing like my router settings for DHCP.
  5. Tried that this evening - even configured with a manual IP that says Ethernet is working and network settings are green in the disgnostics screen - but - ISP and everything else is red - can't get to the internet at all.
  6. Tried reinstalling the original /Extra and rebuilt all caches - no luck - is the only way to go back and re-install from scratch and not install EDP? Anyone have a D630C DSDT?
  7. My Latittude D630C has been running perfectly - I installed the Intel82566MM.kext and rebuilt the configuration - my Ethernet port started working perfectly. I then ran EDP and did a model build using the Dell Latitude D630 with NVidia (laptop) from the database. It installed the BCM kext which I then deleted, reinstalled the Intel and rebuilt the configuration. Everything else is great - working like a dream. However, I cannot reach the internet. When I go into Safari and run the network diagnostics, there is a green light next to the Ethernet heading. One the Network Settings however, there is an orange light and of course everything else is red. I have tried manually entering the network settings (IP address, subnet, etc.) - I have access to my router configuration so I can check it there. I see the ethernet port live on the router (and all other equipment attached to that router is working perfectly), however, the network configuration never goes from orange to green and I am unable to see the internet. I have restarted all routers, cable internet hardware as the network diagnostic says, but nothing works. Seeing as this started happening after I ran the EDP install, I'm thinking there is something in there that might have changed a configuration option that I am not seeing. Anyone have any ideas on this??? Thanks
  8. You guys are the best!! Thank you so much!! D630C running Mavericks running great - will find an external wireless solution for it!!
  9. Please bear with me - this is my first MyHack - so - very much a novice here. I deleted everything in network preferences and then tried to add an Ethernet back and the only thing it allows me to add is Bluetooth PAN. 10. Yes - ethernet is on in the BIOS, but when I look at the System Report, type Ethernet, hartdware Ethernet, BSD Device Name en0 is assigned to the active service Bluetooth PAN although I have disabled bluetooth in the BIOS. Any ideas?
  11. Thanks - that works perfectly! I have 10.9 installed and it's running great with the exception of the networking - I can't get either the wireless or ethernet to work at all. I have a USB wireless adapter but it doesn't have drivers for 10.9 so I'm stuck without networking and also can't run EDP because EDP says I need a network connection....researching firewire to Ethernet or USB to Ethernet to try and get it working.
  12. I built a brand new USB stick per the pre-installation instructions for installing Mavericks on this laptop. MBR was selected when I build the USB stick - all of the software (MyHack, etc.) was downloaded within the past 2 days, so I am guessing it is up to date. As soon as I select the language, I get the crash and the installer log shows the Exception Type as EXC_CRASH (Code Signature Invalud) and the exception codes are both 0X0000000000000000. I have looked at all the other topics and tried all the different start up options for boot (-x, usb fix, etc.) but nothing seems to help. Any ideas from anyone?
