  1. I'm using my 6320 on a port replicator (dock) and the VGA output works fine, but neither of my DVI ouputs seem to work. Has anyone had these working and if so, did you do anything special?
  2. In your guide you state that the webcam isn't working, but mine works fine.
  3. Yeah I missed that one. Got it working. Thanks all.
  4. Has anyone gotten VGA output working? If so, what did you need to do? I just tried for the first time and it was a no go. I haven't tried video output via either the mini HDMI or a port replicator (dock), but I have one of those arriving next week.
  5. Just wanted to drop back in to say that I upgraded to 10.9.3 via the App Store and have seen no issues in the first 20 mins or so. I'll report back on anything that comes up.
  6. How can I tell what version of Chameleon I'm on?
  7. I'm interested to know if the latest AppleHDA.kext will enable the VoodooSDHC.kext to function without breaking sleep. My initial test with the new AppleHDA.kext is that it still doesn't work for me, but if it allows the SD card reader to function I'll spend some time tracking down the issue.
  8. Rock on! This works great for me. Thank you.
  9. Try the bootpack I posted and see if that works for you.
  10. So the only kext I've removed from /S/L/E is the AppleHDA, everything else should be vanilla 10.9 install.
  11. Nope, just what OS X installed there. Though I think I removed one kext at some point. I'll have to read back through this thread. I may go through the process of a clean OS install, but honestly this machine is working well enough at the moment.
  12. Yeah there's 224 items in the Extensions folder inside /S/L/ I didn't edit the DSDT, I used the one you posted.
  13. dfiore, does yours have a Bluetooth module? Does anyone have a recommendation on which Bluetooth module to add?
  14. Odd. I get a boot KP with this one.
  15. Here's the extras folder I'm using. I don't have the SD Card working, don't have working volume control and haven't tested external displays, but thought I would post what got me up and running. Thanks a ton to everyone in this thread who offered help. Extra_E6320.zip
  16. Still no audio and sleep gets broken by adding the SD card kext.
  17. I didn't load the SD kext as I wanted to see if the AppleHDA kext would give me audio, which it didn't. I already have the Voodoo prefpane. I'll try loading the SD kext along with the AppleHDA kext.
  18. Dual booting works great on the two separate drives. Now to find software so each drive can read/write to the other. Still no luck with the AppleHDA. I'd love to get it working as I'm realizing now that while the VoodooHDA makes sound work, the volume is static, it can't be changed. I'd also like to get that card reader working again. Is there any info I can provide to assist?
  19. Just to confirm I should remove VoodooHDA, add this one, myFix (quick), reboot. Correct? What's the easiest way to tell? I have a transparent menu bar, isn't that a QE feature?
  20. Thanks, yeah I had to as Windows wouldn't install on the drive in the second bay. It's installing now. I'll report back when it's complete.
  21. Without the VoodooSDHC the SD card reader doesn't work. I should have the drive bay later today and may have a chance to get windows installed. Others have reported that windows wants the drive it's installing to in the main bay, but that it can be moved after install. That shouldn't be an issue. I'm assuming the chameleon bootloader will recognize a windows drive. I'll find out soon.
  22. Backlit keyboard arrived and I just got it installed. It works great. It's lit when you're typing, dims out when the machine sleeps and lights back up after the machine wakes when you hit any key. Real happy with this addition.
  23. OK, now I have sleep working and by using your DSDT from the last page it will sleep when the lid closes. I tried using your AppleHDA instead of the VoodooHDA and still got no audio. So I'm back to the VoodooHDA, using your DSDT and I have sleep working perfectly. I had to sacrifice the SD card reader, but I can live with that. I'm assuming there's no other way to get that working, is that right? Thank you very much for the time and assistance, it's truly appreciated. Also, the large battery that is available for these E series machine that snaps onto the docking port works, but never shows as depleting, it always shows as charging as far as I can tell. Next up is to install a backlit keyboard to see if that will work and to remove the DVD drive in favor of another HD that I hope to install Windows on for dual booting. Has anyone here tried that yet?
  24. I'll try that, I'd rather have sleep than an SD card reader... I did, but I'll check again.
  25. Here's the system log output of what's going on. Right at 09:35 I clicked sleep. After about 20 seconds the power light started flashing. I immediately pushed the power button again and for 5-10 seconds it went through the process of trying to wake back up. I waited another 15 seconds or so and powered it down hard. Then brought it back up. Is this helpful? What should I be looking for?
