Thanks for responding! With this one, also required me to install IOAudioFamily.kext, and now in system preferences it shows "Headphones" all the time, instead of only when headphones are plugged in like before. I am able to get sound from headphones when they are plugged in, but not internal speakers at all. Attached are the files you requested. Dang, I have been trying so hard to get this done myself. Have spent days learning about patching AppleHDA with no luck. Is there anyone who can help me? I have a Samsung Laptop with ALC269VC. I've attached my files. I'm running 10.9.2. Thanks! edit: Forgot to mention, if I use the kext and DSDT edit here: ALC269 VC2 HD 2.1 WITH the included IOAudioFamily.kext, I get sound from headphone jack, but not from internal speakers. Without IOAudioFamily I get no device found. I've even added my own configdata to this kext with same results. codec_dump.zip
