  1. I recently noticed that Shut Down was broken, the laptop was resetting instead. After further investigation - trial and error method due to my lack of knowledge - I found that without SSDT-SBUS-MCHC.aml this error was fixed. I also removed SSDT-GPI0.aml, SSDT-RMCF-PS2Map-dell.aml and SSDT-OCWork-dell.aml. I brought SSDT-BRT6.aml, SSDT-XOSI.aml and their respective patched back. Now brightness keys work as Fn+F11 and Fn+F12 (Fn pressing required), trackpad is activated on I2C0@15 and shutdown is fixed. Thank you both again, I could not achieve this without your help. I just had to fine tuned the configuration. I think I can consider this project finished now! ioreg MacBook Poor de Fernando.zip EFI.zip
  2. @Baio77 thank you very much for you availability, but I prefer to have all ssdt fles separately. so if I want to do any modification, it's faster and easier for me to change a single 'module'. hackintosh is working perfectly fine thanks to you and @Jake Lo, I can only thank you!!!
  3. @Baio77 I really appreciate your patience and help. I’m working right now but at night I’ll check that FIX SSDT-I2C0 TPD0 ssdt you mentioned and the ssdt file you provided. the touchscreen is actually working fine with multipoint touch and all, and if I remember well ioreg shows it is activated on USB port HS7. Am I right or mistaken?
  4. EDIT: the strange thing I noticed: - if I use ssdt-xosi + rename _osi and osid patches, brightness keys are F11 and F12 and I2C0@15 ioreg is completely filled. trackpad and touchscreen work fine. - if I use ssdt-gpi0 (ssdt-xosi and patched removed), or if I use none of them, brightness keys are Fn+F11 and Fn-F12 and I2C0@15 ioreg is almost empty, just like I2C1@5,1. trackpad and touchscreen work fine.
  5. @Baio77 thanks again for advising. I will try the EFI you provided and will report asap. @Baio77 please find attached the full ioreg file booting with the EFI you provided. I don't know if it makes any difference, but I have a trackpad and a touchscreen. thanks for your help! 1. brightness keys now work with F11 and F12, not Fn+11 and Fn+12 as before. 2. ioreg MacBook Poor de Fernando.zip
  6. @Baio77 thanks for your help, I really appreciate it! but everything is working with the ssdt and config.plist that @Jake Lo provided, and I managed to break the big ssdt in smaller, individual ssdt files. windows was removed from the laptop, it is installed only on my desktop now.
  7. @Jake Lo no, everything I tested works just like before! I'll try to understand how you merged them all, maybe I could learn something! thank you very much for your prompt help!
  8. @Jake Lo it worked with the config.plist and the SSDT-5378.aml you provided. thank you very much! can I re-enable some of the other ssdt files and their respective patches that I have? I attached the IOReg as requested. inspiron 5378 ioreg.zip
  9. Hello, I've been researching for days about Fn+F11 and Fn+F12 to control screen brightness on Big Sur, and I noticed that this thread is the most up to date I could find, with laptops with similar configurations of mine. I have a Dell 5378 laptop on Big Sur, i7 7500U, UHD 620, OpenCore 0.7.0, struggling for days to solve this. It works with Fn+S and Fn+B keys, but not Fn+F11 and Fn+F12. I've tried SSDT-BRT6 and patch, the SSDT-OCWork-dell, Brightnesskeys kext... nothing works. I attached my current EFI folder and my system DSDT table from ACPI (MaciASL 1.6.1) Could you give some directions on how to solve this, please? dsdt.aml.zip EFI.zip
