anyone else having an issue where video locks up the system?

Here is my update. I have since installed and SSD drive and love it! I used the v14 extras to install ML on my 6520. Sleep was not working Web cam was not working battery indicator not working I installed the beta EDP app and got Sleep to work! very cool. I don't think the battery indicator works with any of the 3 options, but I will check again. Webcam works in iMessage, but not in Facetime or PhotoBooth, I can live with this. Trackpad works, but no gestures or scrolling. And the joystick is terrible. I like a mouse, so i can live with this as well. If we could get the battery indicator to work i would be willing to call it complete.

Sound is not working either. Help on this?

Yes, this worked... THank you. Initial testing... sleep does not work and wireless. I am guessing I need to upgrade my wireless card.

built in trackpad and joystick work now with V11. Thanks! Webcam is present in System Report under USB devices as Laptop_Integrated_Webcam_FHD - It does not work in Photo Booth, but works in Facetime. However, in facetime the video quality is terrible. Sleep still does not work. DVD works Battery still has X in icon

What does NOT work thus far. Sleep Webcam Trackpad Battery - loaded voodoo battery kext - Battery Icon now present, but has X in the middle, no batteries present. Also has occasional video tear, one horizontal line. I can live with it thus far.

I have not had a ton of time to test, but thus far, things are working. Display went to sleep on me and would not wake. Sound works. DISPLAY is KILLER!!! THANK YOU Mick! USB works. Wireless (atheros) works. LAN works. Seems to be pretty stable so far, but again, not a lot of time working on it. Should be able to this weekend.

Would you mind patching mine as well??? I have been trying for months to get my e6520 going. It has i7 with HD3000 1920x1080 res LCD. PLEASE and many thank yous!!dsdt.aml.zip

Same issue here, I am not so sure its the graphics or the CHIPSET. However, I used this dsdt from this thread https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1109-e6420-research-thread/page__st__40 and got high res, however it killed my USB. If I remove it, I get to login but shoddy graphics. We need the right combo of dsdt, but i'm not sure how to do that. I will be willing to help where I can.

Well, this has been an adventure for me to say the least. The DSDT you provided gave me the high res on my HD3000 that I have been searching for! Bad news, it kills my USB. Any thoughts?
