Dell D630/Intel X3100 - Not having much luck with Lion...
Bronxteck replied to bbz_Ghost's topic in The Archive
hey i just had a thought.... was the custom bios for your machine.... i think it's for the lower res model d630 so you might have to flash dell bios back. -
well nawcom made one for atom it seems check his blog. nice to see him coding again after his health issues.
-
kext for pointing stick "mouse" in snow leopard or lion?
Bronxteck replied to dawntodon's topic in The Archive
there was an old kext that had it but i don't know what ever came of it. and it was glitchy also i think scrolling did not work. might have been on the voodoo site for alps trackpad. it was for 10.5 if i recall. -
it's a setting in your bios... forgot the name but it has to do with dynamic speed or over clocking the cpu basically something like it, you have to turn it off... it's been posted a few time in the forum on a few machines with the option or you have speedster off and it should be on.

install the latest chameleon so far it's 1518 with chameleon wizard to your installer disk and it's modules folder. make sure graphics enabler is selected in org.chameleon.Boot.plist and you set your native res... make sure you have an extra folder on the installer drive with your dsdt.aml, org.chamelon.boot.plist, and proper smbios.plist for a macbook3,1. if you install and run edp on the external installer drive with edptool.command and build for your model it should supply all this, except the dsdt wich is intended for 1280x 800 screen... so replace it with your higher res. dsdt. keep the build simple no sleep/null no battery as you only need to install the os. -
it should probably be based off DP1 PT... as that still supported legacy 32 bit processors.

D620 nVidia: Having trouble sleeping in 10.6.8 (sleepenabler problems)
Bronxteck replied to upgrayedd's topic in The Archive
boot with -v to see whats causing the kp if it's sleep enabler then reboot after kp and boot with -v pmVersion=23 flags if that lets you boot then add pmVersion=23 to org.chameleon.Boot.plist... but when the next kernel/update is released it will most likely have to be changed again. but there are newer sleep enablers that do not require pmVersion in the boot plist -
just installed it on a d430 and it booted fine.... now unforeseen issues i don't know.
-
shut off com and printer ports and any unused items in bios... floppy controllers, modems and such to free up resources then see if BT still shuts off after wake
-
well i tried a 360 with a magic trackpad over the weekend and it seemed very stable and i did not notice any bluetooth errors in kernel log.
-
edp 2.1 has a fix for gma950 darkness on lion
-
for gestures you have to buy a magic track pad unfortunetly.
-
run edptool.command from /extra

you uncompress the image. sld430usb.img so you need to put the path to the file to uncompress it. would be easier if the path was on the root of the c drive like c:/sld430usb.img. I'm not sure if winrar would do it but you can try. I'm not too familiar with the windows process of installing the image. try reading through this thread it's were jbell found the solution https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/415-create-usb-image-using-windows/

shut off ethernet from bios as well as comm ports and printer ports and modem too see if that helps they take up valuable irq values that osx wants for other things. if not you might have to remove the ethernet not wifi kext in e/e and rebuild using current config in edp.
-
the odd part is that it's on en2 why? usually it's on en0 or en1.... have you shut off all legacy ports and perifrials from bios like com/printer/modem ports? you might also have to shut down your ethernet card from bios. also you can try deleting your network devices and add them back in the networking prefpane or make a new location.
-
Hi, do you have access to osx on a computer already? both snow and lion run just as well on the machine. so your call with you want to run... but the new edp's will be for lion as 10.6.x is at it's end. custom bios is not a requirement, but is an optional enhancement... it injects a dsdt modded for osx use and slic 2.1 for windows dell media restore disc. itunes and app store seem to work fine no blacklist. dd –list (to find your usb drive) dd bs=1M if=sld430usb.img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk1\Partition0 –progress ' place the output location of your thumb drive from the dd -list where the ? is.

have you tried inverting the antenna wires?
