Oke cool! if you disable sleep mode, can you turnoff the laptop? The problem that I have is that each time when i reboot my laptop the ACHI modem is set to ''auto''. After each reboot i have to disable it and set it to ''achi mode'' Do you also have this problem?

Cool! Well i still have a R530 and I would love to install it. But then on my SDD instead of a external harddrive... I hope you can manage to install in on SDD

Well Sleep is the only problem for not using hackintosh.. When the laptop goes into sleepingmode i am not able to get it back.. Only a black screen appears.. I did not managed to fix the problem unfortnenly

I have installed a ssd on my Samsung and the performance is so much better! Is everything working for u? I only did nog managed to het hybernate/ sleepingmode tot work...

So i extracted my dsdt file from my Samsung laptop. Maby there is someone who can tell me what i have to edit to make sure that the following works: -Pressing the powerbutton should put the laptop in sleeping mode -press the powerbutton that awakes the laptop from sleeping mode -when waking up from sleepingmode, the screen will not be black anymore like i have now. First I would like to thank all the forum members that helped be with installing hackintosh on my samsung laptop. I learned a lot (and still learning) of the OSX file system. In return for tis, I wrote this how to for this specific laptop. Issues: None Installation Guide: For a few days/weeks now I managed to install Mavericks successfully on a Samsung R530 laptop (See specifications above this page to get it fully working) 1.Get mavericks from the App store In order to get this work, you need to have a ‘’real’’ MacBook / iMac / OSX Device that has the app store installed. Download Mavericks and wait until it has been downloaded. 2.Download Myhack Download Myhack and install it on the machine. You can get it from here: http://myhack.sojugarden.com/download/myHack-3.3.1.dmg 3.Create Bootable USB stick with Myhacks. When you have installed Myhack and started it up, you have to choose for ‘’Create OSX Installer’’. Fill in all the nessercary parts and Myhack will create a bootable USB stick. When Myhacks is almost complete, it will tell you to install a custom MBR (Master Boot Record) choice NO otherwise hackintosh installation will crash on the installation screen! 4. Change BIOS settings When the bootable USB stick is created we can start to install OSX mavericks on the laptop. To get this to work, we have to change e few settings in the BIOS. When the laptop is starting up, hit th F2 button and change the values as followed: Als make sure that you choose to boot from USB under Boot -> Boot Priority. Save changes and restart computer! 5. Installing OSX Mavericks Now it’s time to install Mavericks J Make sure that the internal/external stick/drive were you are installing Mavericks on has an empty HFS+ formatted partition of at least 8GB in size on it. You can partition and format it using Disk Utility, under Applications/Utilities. Once all the files are loaded you will be entering the ‘’welcome screen’’ were you have to choice a language. Choose the language and the hard disc were you want to install OSX mavericks on. Once again: The hard drive has an empty HFS+ formatted partition or is already formatted with the FS that OSX uses. Now sit back and drink some coffee. It could take about 20 minutes to install OSX Mavericks on the hard drive! 6. Completing the setup. myHack will prompt you if you would like to install the generic Extra & Extensions bundled with myHack or if you would like to supply your own. Using your own is particularly useful if you already have a finely tuned OS X installation – you can simply provide the Extra of your choosing and it will migrate it properly for you. The generic bundle will boot most vanilla systems perfectly, but does NOT contain any extensions for audio/ethernet/acpi/ata/etc After installation completes you should be ready to reboot your system without using the myHack OS X Install Disk. Reboot the system with the internal drive that you just installed OS X on. *Note: it could be possible that the BIOS settings are set to default. If this is the case, change them back as mentioned in step 4. 7. Installing the packages to get Wifi, battery Indicator and Sound to work If everything went oke, the following hardware is working now: · SDcard reader · Graphics · Touchpad · Mouse · USB 2.0 ports Now its time to get Wifi, battery Indicator and Sound to work. Download the following files: Wifi: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B18hrahmiy3pOGwxTzZOZzc1a0k/edit?usp=sharing Battery Indicator: https://os-x-acpi-battery-driver.googlecode.com/files/RehabMan-Battery-2013-0407.zip http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/download/92-appleacpiplatformkext-for-os-x-109/ Sound (VoodooHDA 2.8.5 for Mavericks) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=138977 When you have downloaded all the files, unzip them until you get three kext files (1 for Wifi and two for the battery indicator) Copy the files to /Extra/Extensions. When this is done, run Myhack again and select ‘’Myfix’’ / Quick. Now Myhack will merge the files into the hackintosh system. This could take a while so please do not interrupt it! When finished, Myhack will prompt you with a ‘’finished’’ message. After this you can install the sound driver. (VoodooHDA 2.8.5). This is a .pkg file. When you have installed this driver, reboot the laptop and sound, wifi & battery indictor should work.

Anyone? Its quite a big problem when i want to set the laptop to sleep mode. Is there some tuturial i can follow that allows me to change a DSDT while pressing the power button the laptop goes into sleepmode?

Oke i installed it but for some reasons it did not work. The strange part is that I installed Hackintosh on a WD 320 GB harddrive. My Windows 8.1 installation is installed on a Samsung SSD. Each time when i reboot, the bios removes the Hackintosh harddrive excluding from booting. This is very enoying. Could this also the problem why it doesnt work?

I tried serval RTC kext patches but they didnt work. The only thing i have to do is install the RTC kext and run these commands right? sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x75\x2e\x0f\xb6|\xeb\x2e\x0f\xb6|' /System/Library/Extensions/AppleRTC.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleRTC sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

Oke for some reasons my brightness problem is solved.. Its now at maximum power as i wanted There are now only 2 things that I hope that could be fixed: 1. Sleeping mode. With Windows i can press the powerbutton and then Windows will go into sleeping/hibernade mode. Is something like this also possible for hackintosh? 2. For some reason, hackintosh resets my BIOS settings when its rebooted. Because i have to manually enable ACHI modes in my BIOS I have to change this each time when i reboot hackintosh. Is there a fix for this?

Yeah the key mapping i will try that later.... My first priority is to setup the brightness because my screen is kinda dark now. Also there is no Brighness slide bar in the display menu. Can you give me a hint were i have to look up to fix this?

Oke bad idea.... I only inserted the IOfamily kext for wifi wih the patched devid. Now it hangs on the apple logo Reinstall number....4 again I followed the manual but it seems that my keyboard does not work

When i look up in the /Extra/Extra directory, I see a few other kext files that have installed during the OSX installation. like cpumanagement.kext For those kext files, Myhack does not have to patch them each time i insert a new kext file right? so i can delete them....

Oke and the existing kext files that are placed in the /E/E maps, i can delete them right? Because they are already installed due te first installation.

No i only installed VoodooHDA kext I will add AppleHDADisable the next time together.. Im already installing OSX again so i will wait for that. So for my understanding: -Boot OSX -f for the first time. -add AppleHDADisable and VoodooHDA kext in /E/E -Run Myhack Fix utility AFter that, reboot OSX with ''normal'' boot? edit: ill probably can install VoodooHDA 2.8.6 pkg installer 1.0. It contains the AppleHDADisabled and latest Vodoo 2.8.4 driver

Oke thanks i will try that later. I tried to install HDA Voodoo driver for Sound, but when i rebooted i had kernel panic So im now installing OSX 10 again on the mahine.. is it also possible to install the kext files due the installation?

Oke cool! I managed to downloa the kext and edit de inf.plist files to my own card. When i put the file in /S/L/E, it gives an error that the extension could not be installed. On the internet i couldnt find out about this problem (only te set permissions correctly but I already did that using this commands:) sudo -s chown root:wheel "insertnamehere" chmod 755 "insertnamehere" kextload -t "insertnamehere" edit: Wifi is working now! I had to boot with -F and then it worked.... The problem is still that i cannot install any kext files... No matter what it is, It keeps comming with the same message again '' extension could not be installed''

Yeah i will try that tomorrow... First i have to get Wifi working so at least i can use internet on OSX I read a forum that a kext file must be located at /SL/E is ext: IO80211Family.kext . I dont see that file. Do i have to install it first?

Oke that sucks.. So i am not able to install Apps from the app store because the LAN interface is not detected bij Apple ? edit; IT should work if you use NullEthernet
