  1. I hear that the DW1802 is Atheros AR4962, and it is supported with Ath9KFixup.kext or Atheros40.kext plugin info.plist edit. I have this same card, and I am going to try this with patched IO80211Family.kext later tonight... I will report my findings here! Not holding out a lot of hope for this Qualcomm AC combo card, but worth a try at least. If it works, I will be so happy (and it will mean I won't have to reinstall a new OS again). Here is the line from "Supported" list: Dell DW1802 NGFF/M.2 168c-0034 AR94621 A/B/G/N Y Y ? ? N (=AR5B22) Y Y is Sierra and High Sierra OOTB... Mojave is ?, but reported working with 10.13.6 kext edit + replacement. It is definitely NOT an AR5B22 tho, and mine is marked Wireless AC as well... it actually is a DW1802 and AR94621 and the Device and Vendor ID are correct too?!?!
  2. You are correct, It was a DSDT edit and patch to kext that got it working. I never use HDMI port, let alone audio, so reverted back to non-audio mode (HDMI still works for video tho).
  3. I used AudioHDMI 1.0 kext, and works wonderfully. Laptop now 100% (except for non-GPT formatted HDD and occasional non-startup -- ie: no HDD activity after BIOS). Non-startup is very rare (1 in 50 starts) so is a non-issue - a restart always fixes it. I now have audio/video/backlit screen/camera/keyboard/multitouch touchpad/USB2.0/USB3.0/VGA/HDMI/HDMI-AUDIO/OpenGL-QE-CI/Sleep-Wake all working sweetly. I love this little laptop.
  4. Sound quality is not quite what I would accept. Fixed Microphone issue in VoodooHDA prefpane. I would prefer a working ALC262 kext if possible, there are some Sony Vaio and Latitude laptops have the same audio.
  5. I have a nicely working Mavericks 10.9.5 on a Lenovo IdeaPad u460. It has the dismal Realtek ALC262 sound, and VoodooHDA 2.8.7 is working nicely (except microphone, which is too sensitive). Would love native patched AppleHDA? There are patched for Snow/Lion, but Mavericks would be nice. Going to try some tests on downloads I managed to find. Any and all help greatly appreciated!!! Cheers.
  6. I hate to blow my own horn, or cross-post, but I am having a great deal of success installing Mavericks 10.9.4 onto the 14.1" wonderful little laptop: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/300289-acer-aspire-4752-ms2347-wip/ If I can just get HDMI audio working tonight, there will be a guide, and kext-pack uploaded on Friday. NOTE: I am not running 10.10.5 on this little laptop, and it is going GREAT... More news can be found here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/300289-acer-aspire-4752-1095-guide-with-kextpack/ 10.10.5 instructions are toward the end of that thread.
  7. I have a near perfect Acer Aspire 4752 with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and 4GB RAM. One of the issues I have is no Fan speeds read with latest HWSensors. If anyone knows of a dsdt edit that will get the fans working again, I would be grateful. PS. I found a patch for Acer Fan dsdt, but it introduces a single error I cannot fix, and won't compile because of it It should work with any patch for the 4xxx to 5xxx series. I believe the fan is BIOS controlled, so a recent completely unlocked BIOS would be just as well received Many thanks in advance...
