Unfortunately, none of the links work for me. Especially, the .png that shows which option to turn on in Multifail would have been really educational. I used most of this tutorial and successfully installed 10.8.2 on my m9040n. My system hangs however when upgrading to 10.8.5. Thanks for the detailed post.
