  1. I only reopened it to put the E6410 ML folder on it, as stated in the manual. But I guess this was after correcting the permissions etc.
  2. Ok, again many thanks for your help anyway. I suggest the error is connected to the mentainance of the usb installer, Step 30 to 36 of the original guide. Head over to the Maintenance tab on top Select the right flash drive Check the boxes next to "Extra" and "System/Library/Extensions" Click "Execute" and enter your password This process could take 5-7 minutes This process was finished in under a minute and not in 5 to 7 but I don't know what I've done wrong with this. Best, tonfunk
  3. I updated the bios to A13, loaded defaults and set the SATA controller mode to AHCI, I'll double check it, but I'm pretty sure about it.
  4. I tried it again with a freshly build install stick - same error. Installing 10.8 and upgrade is not possible for me because I only have the actual installer so that this workaround does not work for me. I also tried the myhack troubleshooting without success. It seems my mashine is doomed
  5. Anyway, thanks for your time! I'll try the whole process again and hope to get it working this time - I'll let you know!
  6. Ok, my specs are: Dell Latitude e6410 Intel Core i5 M540 @ 2.53GHz x4 detailed spec is attached as html file. I will now try the boot again and wait a couple of minutes before shutting the system down if necessary. edit: no success. Waited for about 5 minutes and nothing happened. Thanks again! spec.html
  7. .I tried the 10.8.2 Kexts.zip and followed the instructions. After using myFix an booting with verbose the same error occured again. What should I try next?
  8. Ok, I will do this. Is it necessary to do a complete reinstall or can this kext be fixed from the usb stick on the actually installed osx? Best Regards and again many thanks for your help!
  9. Hi patel4prez, thanks for the quick response. I've done as you suggested. There was no bootloader present on the mashine. I used the bootloader from the usb stick. In normal boot up no spinning weel but the apple logo appeared and after a while the laptop coolers went quite and nothing happens. In verbose mode the last message was: MAC Framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 10240 cluster IO buffer headers IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87 ACPI: System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] PIM64 (36 cpu) 0xf80000000, 0x80000000 [PCI configuration begin] than again the mashine went quiet. Many thanks in advance!
  10. I tried this guide yeserday with a recently downloaded os x 10.8.2 on my Latitude e6410. At the end of the installation process it was pointed out that os x could not be installed on my system. The log mentioned error code 121 (kextcache .71 ..something..). What have I done wrong?
