  1. Use nVidia web drivers, all ports should work (VGA is never native to OS X!)
  2. GeForce GTX 750Ti works perfectly fine with web drivers (I use it on other Yosemite rig - different hardware)
  3. BIOS A16, usual settings for OS X UEFI (legacy rom enabled, Vt-d disabled, serial disabled, if available DVMT prealloc to 96MB), latest Clover bootloader, manual install USB creation, booted perfectly fine & installed OK (10.11.6) Just had to replace stock 2nd gen CPU with i3-3225 from ebay and use cheap nVidia 210 NO DSDT needed on this hardware Used other files from here VoodooHDA installs/works fine but had to install it THREE times, two KP, 3rd installed ok (but use USB peakers anyway), updated to latest Security Update 2016-002 with no issue Perfect hack for under £100 all in! sebus
  4. Updates fine Sierra 10.12.2 Perfect Mac server (as it is 24/7 then sleep is of no importance) In SFF chassis 3 HDs: SSD in caddy attached to Syba SI-PEX40061, 2 of Hitachi HTS721010 A9E630 Travelstar 7 K1000 1000 GB HARDDRIVE 2.5 Serial ATA in RAID 1 config via SoftRAID Lite Beats Mac Mini hands down
  5. Now, if I could only get it to wake up without reboot...
  6. [sOLVED] Upgraded to build 16B2657 from here Now with ig-platform-id 19120000 graphics work fine (without MiniStolenSize Patch) even it gives odd message on console sebus
  7. On Datafilehost one only needs to uncheck their stupid download manager to get the file direct DellInc.-1.3.5.zip
  8. BIOS backup does not have SetupPrep, so no idea which PE32 image section to extract
  9. It is M.2 Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 Dell Touchpad ACPI\VEN_DLL&DEV_062B
  10. I will follow guide for DVMT on Monday, but the patch as it is currently does NOT change anything at all GM updated to .1 from Appstore today sebus
  11. Yes, ig-platform-id goes under Graphics and enable inject Intel If I leave fakeID at default 0x00000000 then I do get the KP each time To boot I need to put SOMETHING in fakeID OR change ig-platform-id to 00000000 OS is macOS 10.12.1 (16B2555)
  12. <key>ig-platform-id</key> <string>0x019120000</string> on its own (nothing in FakeID) results in KP each time If I add anything to FakeID ie 0a206080 then nothing changes (driver not loaded & only 7Mb) Skylake minStolenSize patch DO exist in config & is enabled (Dell BIOS does not have any DVMT settings)
  13. Gave up on EC. It could have been the way install USB was created. Anyway, used Sierra 10.12.0 to create USB install by hand, used latest Clover r3949 UEFI, only FakeSMC.kext Needed to move the 8Gb RAM stick to Slot 1 (if in slot 2 I would get instant KP) Used the attached config to boot the installer This time all went fine, installed OK After install used USBInject by Rehabman, latest 2.2.1 RealtekRTL8111.kext, patched AppleHDA as per my own reply Still struggling with Graphics - Graphics driver failed to load: could not register with Framebuffer driver It was vital to upgrade to build 16B2657 from here Now with ig-platform-id 19120000 in Clover 530 graphics work fine! On wake up, machine reboots without graphics becoming live! Edit Not fair test without fully working graphics, but I think USB does not come out of the "sleep" IORegistryExplorer file attached if somebody could help further config.zip ioreg-Optiplex3040.zip
  14. Managed to get the sound working using patched AppleHDA by insanelydeepak from here with HDAEnabler's kext (removed original AppleHDA from S/L/E & installed patched to L/E ) sebus Edit Each update requires removal of original AppleHDA, I suppose there could be a way to patch it with Clover on the fly, but did not check it yet
  15. BIOS: 1.3.5 Chipset: Intel 110 Skylake PCH-H (100 Series/C230) CPU: Intel quad-core Skylake i5-6500 @3.2GHz (Turbo boost to 3.6GHz) Graphics: Intel HD 530 (Skylake-S GT2, 8086:1912) RAM: 8GB DDR3-1600 Storage: SATA III 128GB SSD Audio: Intel HDA based on Realtek ALC255 codec (10EC:0255) LAN: RealTek RTL8168/8111 Gigabit Ethernet (10EC:8168) USB: 4 x USB2.0/ 4 x USB3.0 ports I used kext from this post But it does not load on Sierra 10.12.0 It shows error: Executable file doesn't contain kernel extension code (no kmod_info symbol or bad Mach-O layout).: 1 Only mention of this error was some bug in 10.6 Any ideas? sebus

  17. Of course, edited firsts post with full folder zipped Thanks sebus

  19. The full specs are in the HWInfo report (more then I could ever write myself) Bootloader is latest Clover 3922 EFI is from this post (but without ANY .aml) sebus
  20. Solution in post #12 After getting OP3010 & OP3020 working fine with El Capitan, now is the time for OP 3040 But currently only getting hanged on ACPI on USB installer boot (not using any dsdt yet) HWInfo report is here Original ACPI (created by clover f4 attached) Help appreciated as always OP3040-ACPI-Clover-F4.zip
  21. Same here (waiting for update), never previously managed to get any luck with OP 3020 Thanks sebus EDIT: Followed this (using supplied files) and boot to installer works fine, will need to do the actual install, but I am sure it will be fine
