  1. Yep thanks very much, as soon as I saw my file system it was all straight forward. Working like a charm now until I get a working WLAN card for my laptop. And I somehow have to figure out how to get bluetooth to work, for some odd reason it makes problems both on OSX and Win7. The blue track-thingy isn't working either, even thoI don't mind much.
  2. Yea I had a feeling that this was going to be embarrassing. Thanks a ton, trying now.
  3. actually I am just at the very same point at the moment. And even tho I feel quite ashamed asking... I have copied the BCM5722D.kext from the bootpack to my desktop for now. How/where do I copy it now? I understand that i have to copy it to /E/E, but I seem to be too much of an idiot to find it (at least in "Finder" I do not see anything but the favorites stuff... and devices aka my usb stick and external HDD.) Any idea how to help me fool out?
  4. Yup, got A18 and tried with recommended settings, with everything off, with everything on and some mixes.
  5. Yep, disabled Edit: I did now manage to install it using a fixed IOPCIFamily.kext from netkas. I also got it booting after by running a myfix on the ML partition from the SL I have running on my second partition (without the myfix of the ML partition it wouldn't boot). The thing now is that it needs extremely long to boot (like 13 minutes or so) and the mouse cursor is only updating very very slow, so that I needed like a couple of minutes to setup the time zone etc. It's not jumping around^randomly, just reacting ultra slow
  6. 2,2 Ghz Dualcore T7500, Nvidia Quadro NVS 135M, 4 GB RAM, (120 GB Sata HDD, Intel WLAN which wont work as I understood)
  7. If I do exactly that then I get the "CPU 1 has no HPET assigned to it" kernel panic with the extra folder from this guide. And if I use the bootpack from this site it gets stuck at PCI configuration.
  8. So, I've tried again. Made the clear installer. Then added the extra folder from this guide with myhack, after that did a myfix. Now... if I try to boot it i get the "CPU 1 has no HPET assigned to it" kernel panic again. Also, If I try to manually copy content from the extra folder on the extra folder on my usb stick it tells me I dont't have permissions for that, even after authentificating myself. When I finished the installation usb with myhack, what exactly should I do? 1. Do I myfix->install extra folder->myfix? 2. Do I have to manually copy content from extra folder from this thread to extra folder on the installation usb? If so, how do I do it? (permissions problems) 3. Is there a difference between manually copying and the install extra from myfix?
  9. Actually, It did ask me for the extra folder at the end of the installation, shortly before or after the kext's removal. I'm trying to add it into the installation USB stick now as well because I only copied the folder+myFix'ed it. (Is it not the same by the way?)
  10. Hello there, after some difficulties getting the installation medium done I've managed to install ML on my D630. It went through the installer. Then myhack asked me to remove certain kext's and I clicked yes. Like half a minute later it suddenly restarted without saying anything. Now when I boot from the HDD it just gives me a multiple line boot error. When I boot through the USB stick with myhack and select my HDD... without bootflag it just tells me I have to restart with -v it gives me a kernel panic "CPU 1 has no HPET assigned to it"^ Any ideas? Here's what I did: 1. Installed SL via ModCD 2. Opened myHack3.1.2 and created the installation USB stick for ML 3. Copied the Extra folder from this guide on the stick 4. Ran myFix on the stick (full, not quick) 5. Booted from Stick 6. Ran disk utility, formatted HDD 7. see above, removed the kext's then it suddenly restarted with the problems mentioned
  11. I don't know. Tho, after digging in some random threads over here I got it to work using ModCD. I'm going to try and fix me a ML USB installer (which is why I had to get SL running in the first place). Thanks anyways, I might reply again in here and change the topic depending on how it goes with ML.
  12. Unfortunately It doesn't. I also tried disabling everything else (Modem, LAN, etc). Still the same.
  13. Hello there, I've been trying to install Snow Leopard on my D630 (4 GB RAM, nVidia) and it kind of doesn't like me, to say the least. So here's what I did: 1. I used TransMac on Windows (since I don't have any Hackintosh or Mac) and formatted my USB Stick with the SL image. 2. Burned iboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) on a CD. 3. Followed the guide here to setup the correct BIOS settings on my D630. 4. Started my Laptop, chose the Mac Installation Disk and run it with -v 5. Now there's different stuff happening 5.1 Most commonly.. it goes through all the stuff and I find myself in the installer. I can choose the HDD to install OSX on. Then it starts and I see the big X with the progress bar. It usually freezes pretty soon (sometimes after 5 sec, sometimes after 30+ sec). The progress bar then isn't animated anymore and I can't do anything but turn it off. 5.2 It already freezes when formatting/partitioning the HDD 5.3 It stops at "Waiting for DSMOS..." 5.4 It stops at "[PCI configuration being] 5.5 It stops at "BSD root: disk2s3, major 14, minor 10 5.6 It stops at "FakeSMCDevice: 17 keys added; AppleIntelPIIXPATA: Secondary PCI IDE channel is disabled" 5.7 Probably more, different stuff when trying it even more often (already did 20+ times) I don't really know what to do. I get the same errors when trying to setup SL via VirtualBox on Windows by the way. Gives different errors at different times just after restarting several times. I already used 2 different USB sticks and 1 external HDD for this, to make sure its not the stick itself. Also, if windows is installed it works flawlessly fine, so i guess that makes sure the hardware is fine.
