  1. Yes, but i've been trying to get the internal screen working.
  2. A16 ST 2b2jn32 EST 5022968222 eDp connector to built in 4K display
  3. I have the 4K screen, can get both HDMI / and external DP port to work using the Nvidia Web Drivers, but never the internal display. I want to tackle this by trying to modify the NVDA configuration but cannot get the correct configuration.
  4. No, If I was to buy anything, I would just buy a MBP, and multi-boot that. This machine is perfect the way it is and everything works perfectly when connected via Display Port / HDMI, so for now it must be attached VIA another Display.
  5. howoarang, This laptop with this display does not have switchable graphics. QuadroGraphics, this is interesting, I'll try playing around with the EFI string creation and injection via clover to see if this gets me somewhere. Thanks,
  6. Because he does not have the QHD+ display, if you look at his xrandr output it is only the FHD display. This display connection to the motherboard allows the BIOS to control the nvidia gpu on or off. and when it's off then the Intel HD4600 handles graphics to the Laptop Display. His pictures are fooling you into believing he has Accelerated Graphics at 4k resolution on a built in display. I believe the Intel HD4600 Graphics are completely bypassed on our laptops because of the Display connector.
  7. kOn, No I haven't got it working yet. Jake Lo The nVidia card is Quadro K1100M The Laptop display is connected via eDP not LVDS and is QHD+ 3840x2160. What I've tried. Followed guides to completely disable the nVidia card (patch DSDT, SSDT), but this completely knocks out the display as soon as DSDT loads I didn't try the EDID injection with this, but I believe this is not worth trying. Now I want to go full nVidia, but I feel I need to inject more info into the DSDT to get this thing working right. If I take the laptop apart and remove the display connector then I get the Optimus setting in the BIOS. but as soon as I plug the Display back onto the motherboard, it goes back to only using nVidia.
  8. So I'll start over again fresh Yosemite install, and clean clover only install kext for working touchpad, and wifi. Then follow your recommendation In Clover set ig-platform-id=0x0a260006 and Fake ID IntexGFX 0x04128086. IN S/L/E/ install FakePCIID.kext, FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext, FakePCIID_HDMI_Audio.kext. No DSDT, and No SSDT in ACPI/patched. Then see where everything is. If still a problem then disable nvidia in DSDT.
  9. It appears that Linux Mint provides a different output than Ubuntu Live. Here is my xrandr output from Ubuntu Live Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 3840 x 2160, maximum 8192 x 8192 DP-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DP-2 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) eDP-1 connected primary 3840x2160+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 346mm x 194mm 3840x2160 60.00*+ 48.02 1920x1200 59.88 1920x1080 59.96 1600x1200 59.87 1680x1050 59.95 1400x1050 59.98 1280x1024 59.89 1280x960 59.94 1152x864 59.96 1024x768 59.92 800x600 59.86 640x480 59.38 720x400 59.55 640x400 59.95 640x350 59.77 DP-3 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) VGA-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) Here is my List providers from Ubuntu Live Providers: number : 1 Provider 0: id: 0x68 cap: 0x1, Source Output crtcs: 4 outputs: 5 associated providers: 0 name:nouveau So I also have my display connected to the eDP port as you do. Any thoughts, I don't know if there is a way for mac to use eDP port, with nvidia. If I connect to HDMI everything is working, or if I disable nvidia I can get my laptop screen to have picture, just not accelerated graphics everything is choppy and only at low resolution.
  10. So from your signature you have the 1920x1080 display on the m4800, I have the QHD+ display and I believe this is connected through eDP port only so I cannot use Intel Graphics. Am I missing something. In one of the above posts I saw someone with this laptop and the QHD+ display working on built-in. I am trying the clover injection, and I can change the boot-display, but everytime it boots to black screen.
  11. Im stuck. I followed rampage's method 3 for the 900 series Nvidia for DSDT injection. because there is no mention of the K1100M. This method has inject nvidia = false in clover config, I don't know if that is correct. I have not found out yet how to set the boot-display-port number. When I try to boot with the injected DSDT and remove the nv_disable=1, then i get BLACK screen. Ill keep looking for the boot display port option.

  13. I haven't worked on this for some time. DuongTH, are you using Clover for install? Does your internal display work, or is this connected to external display? Some guidance please. Thanks,
