  1. I solve the boot halting issue by inserting my USB installer (using clover) to the USB-2.0-only port (at the backside of E6530).
  2. Yes, Clover will look for DSDT.aml by default. When I uncheck Optimus in BIOS, I rename DSDT-NVS.aml to DSDT.aml When I Check Optimus in BIOS, I rename DSDT-off.aml to DSDT.aml In both cases it encountered the same error which prints the dump of CPU registers. I see most of the clover users don't use and don't need DSDT. Do you think it is a possible way to solve the video issue? Which keyword I could use to search if I want to edit the DSDT around the video settings? Thank you very much.
  3. Thanks for the reply. I had the experience of successfully install Yosemite on E6530 with Chameleon using your great guide. I tried to repeat the process with clover using the kexts and DSDT in your guide. Here is what I did: 1. Follow the guide (step 1 and 2) to create usb installer with clover 2. Copy the kexts in your guide into the folder /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/ of the usb installer 3. Copy the DSDT (tried DSDT-NVS.aml and DSDT-off.aml) into the folder /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ of the usb installer Result: 1. The kexts in step 2 could be successfully loaded by clover. But it can't solve the halt problem. 2. The DSDT in step 3 will cause an error which prints the dump of CPU registers (I could attach the screenshot later). The same DSDT works well in Chameleon but not in Clover. Any suggestion? Thank you so much.
  4. Hi, I have the same spec of E6530. I encountered a usb installer bootup problem (with clover bootloader) and can't find a valid answer on any forum to solve it. I want to use EFI boot so I createed the usb installer with clover. But when I tried to boot with the usb installer, it always halt at the line "Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport" . I search all the article and see several people said it is a video issue. Thus I tried all the combination to enable/disable optimus in BIOS, add/remove nv_disable, inject nvidia/intel driver, and add/remove -x. However, nothing works and it always halts on the same line. Did anyone boot E6530 with clover? What boot argument do you use? Thank you very much.
