  1. Hi Have you used these files with Clover or with Chameleon? You write "E6540 kext files" didn't you want to write E6530 instead? Thank you Balint
  2. Happy New Year to everybody I found with excitement a new an updated version of Clover Install Guide for El Capitan in this forum (November 2015), but by first reading I was not able to find the device speficic files for my E6530. It is equipped with Core i5-3340M processor, NVIDIA NVS 5200M and Intel HD 4000 graphic cards and has a resolution of 1920x1080. Can you please indicate to me where can I find the needed drivers, dsdt and other configuration files? I attached the codec dump files for the Audio and other SSDT extracts made in Ubuntu if that helps. Thank you very much in advance Balint codec_dump.txt tables.zip
  3. Dear Jake Lo Would this AppleHDA also work for my Dell 6530? See my EFI folder attached. I added also codec dump from Ubuntu and tables. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tvyb3xem5js77k0/AACtNueMLQ-VeXQE-e8ztlcua?dl=0 Thank you very much Balint
  4. Good evening dear Herve May I please ask you to help me? Thank you Balint
  5. Dear Herve Feeling that I got stuck with my installation using Chameleon, I tried another fresh installation to an external HDD using this time Clover. I used the attached config file (see in Dropbox link), installation went without any problem. Now Yosemite 10.10.4 is running but i don't have - audio - bluetooth - only 1 USB port is working - battery status not shown - my laptop went to sleep and woke up after but was not fully usable, had to make hard reset I attached the exports from several software like DPCIManager, MaciASL, IORegistryExplorer Can I please ask you to tell me how can I solve most of the above issues? https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tvyb3xem5js77k0/AACtNueMLQ-VeXQE-e8ztlcua?dl=0 Thank you very much in advance Balint
  6. Hi Jake Thank you for answer. What would the sudo touch /S*/L*/E* && sudo kextcache -Boot -U / solve? Boot without -f flag? Regarding resolution, it is 1920x1080. I don't use at the moment any DSDT file at all, only the default settings..
  7. Hi I have applied the patch to AppleRTC, but hasn't solved the BIOS reset issue. Optimus flag gets unchecked after each shut down on Mac OS. Interestingly, after Windows shut down the BIOS setting is kept. BIOS version is A13 as recommended. But this is a secondary issue, I would love to be able to have a correct boot with DSDT parameters. Thank you Balint
  8. Dear Jake Lo and Hervé I am still fighting with my almost perfect OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 I still must boot with DSDT=0 -v -f settings, I am not able to progress to a perfect boot. Bluetooth is not working Often not every USB port gets recognized I have the issue with BIOS settings set to default, I haven't tried yet the above proposed patch of AppleRTC. I set manually in BIOS each time "Use Optimus" flag and OS X uses after HD Graphics 4000. No sleep, but maybe this is not possible at all? I am booting with Chameleon, followed the install method described by Jake Lo. I made an output with IORegistryExplorer, I hope it helps. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wlvjwt7n1l222vm/Balint%E2%80%99s%20MacBook%20Pro.ioreg?dl=0 I would be very thankful for your kind help Thank you very much Balint
  9. Hi Jake Lo I am already at A13, but Optimus gets set back after shut down by Yosemite. Interesting, it seems, after Windows shut down the setting remains untouched. I read on a Linux forum, that they found a solution for this... http://askubuntu.com/questions/338568/how-to-prevent-bumblebee-on-a-dell-e6530-disable-optimus-on-the-next-boot
  10. Dear Hervé What is this patched kext doing exactly? At the moment I have another kext with a bit different file size, according to install guide by Jake Lo.. What should I expect if I replace this with yours? Thanks Balint
  11. As advised I copied everything from /Extra on USB drive to HDD. If I try to boot without DSDT=0 flag OS X doesn't start.... Can somebody please help? I am on 10.10.4, it seems everything works except Bluetooth and these DSDT settings.... , only the startup is a bit problematic. Before each start I need to manually set in BIOS - enable OPTIMUS - change SATA seetings after reboot these settings are set back to some defaults which are different from what are needed.... Thank you very much Balint
  12. Hi Can I have one more question? TO allow the install to boot, we changed quite heavily the original chameleon boot plist. DO I need to copy this modified file also to the installed partition, after completion of the install, or I should use the original plist file? What about the DSDT-off.aml file? Can I use it? You advise to use the boot flag DSDT=0 Thank you Balint
  13. Hi. I try to install 10.10.4. I have downloaded the kernel for 10.10.4 (vanilla), also the bootpackage, changed the name of DSDT-off.aml to DSDT.aml, copied the kext files to Extension/SLE and renamed this folder to Extra and copied to the USB boot. Did not try to make any SSDT file as you advised. After booting on my DELL with -v -f options I get a very early panic, after the processor type gets recognized as i5-3340M, correctly Kernel is shown as 14.4.0, Mac OS version: not yet set, System model name? MacBookPro9,2 What am I doing wrong??? Thank you for advise Balint
  14. Thank you for quick answer One more short question. I have already Windows 7 installed on my laptop and would like to have OSX as a dual boot option. What is the best and safest way to do it? I have already a free un-partiotioned space on my HD to accept OSX. Thank you again Balint
  15. Hi. I have a question regarding the installation guide. Everything is very clear for me, up to this point.... I have a laptop with i5-3340M processor with NVidia graphics card. Optimus is enabled in BIOS I would like to create the SSDT.aml file, before I can try to boot from the prepated USB boot drive. I have a MacMini upgraded to 2,1. I tried to run on this the ssdtPRGen.sh script with -d 0 -p i5-3340M parameters but received several errors saying that a MacMini is not compatible with such a processor, and others, including also a "segmentation fault $iasl $gSsdtPR" messages. What am I doing wrong? Can I use my MacMini to generate this file? Or should I boot from the created USB Yosemite install and make this SSDT file on my Dell laptop? Please help me, thank you very much Balint
