Inspiron 7370: unable to obtain graphics acceleration
tikizondo94 replied to tikizondo94's topic in The Archive
I have not had a chance to try it yet. I install my texts in L/E. I add just fakesmc in clover/other just for installer purposes. When I get home from work I'll give your efi a try. :) -
Inspiron 7370: unable to obtain graphics acceleration

I noticed in your config you dont have any setting set for injecting intel? You dont need them for your setup? Or do we not need it anymore with the new lilu/whatevergreen kexts? -
Inspiron 7370: unable to obtain graphics acceleration
tikizondo94 replied to tikizondo94's topic in The Archive
Ok, Ive tried with SmBios macbook 10.1 and added compiled the latest lilu and WhateverGreen Kext. Installed them in L/E. Deleted FakePCIIDIntel kext and IntelGraphicsFixUp kext. And for some reason im still locking at the same point during boot. This thing just doesn't want to run QE/CI lol. Attached is a pic of my verbose lock point. And also the generated-config clover configurator created. Each time i try to generate one clover config crashes. And i also cant open the config in clover configurator. I have to use plist editor to view it. Strange.. config-generate.plist.zip -

Inspiron 7370: unable to obtain graphics acceleration
tikizondo94 replied to tikizondo94's topic in The Archive
Well ive installed the latest 10.14 PB. Install went flawless. Ive tried MacBookPro 14.1 and the Latest 15.2 SMBios. Using 59160000 PlatformID. Still seems to be locking at the same point. IOScreenLockState in verbose. hmmm. I wonder if using an iMac Smbios would make a difference? Some iMacs use eDP for there internal display connection. Any ideas? Also tried addPNLF and setintelbacklight settings. Dosent seem to make a difference. -

I have not yet. Im still running 10.13.6. I can reformat and install 10.14 though. Im using rehabs appleintelbacklightinjector process, with and SSDT-PNLF and kext to patch. But honestly ive never got backlight to implement correctly using this method. I may try yours. Also Ive still tried modding my EDID values but without darwin dumper working correctly to create an EDID.bin file im kinda lost. Ill attach my EDID data and a current bootlog with EDID data in it if anyone can help. EDID Data.zip bootlog.txt.zip -

Well i ran setup_var 0x76D 0x05 and nothing exploded lol. But im still having the same issue. Machine still locks at the IOScreenLockState. Tried using 59160000. Also the new Clover Revision has a few new PlatformIDs to try. I tried them both for the UHD620. 0x59160009 and 0x59180002. Neither worked. 59180002 booted my screen to a crazy flashing artifact. And 59160009 just loaded the OS without QE/CI. Like using an invalid ID. Im kinda at a loss here. Any ideas guys? -

#Jake Lo, The Darwin Dumper output text is strange. Is says "no EDID info found in clover bootlog" But if i open a new clover bootlog at anytime it shows my EDID data..?? -

I tried the attached version of darwin dumper. But im still getting the same result. Just gives an EDID folder with nothing in it. And yes I also installed the lastest clover build. Still seems to be locking at the same point. Im wondering if the DVMT may still need to be pushed to 160 like you did. Im try to muster up the strength to do it lol. -

i copied a folder and modified its data then renamed it and added it as another folder. Did not overwrite the "original folder". Just added a new folder with modded data. -

Ok. I modified my EDID data in a random folder from S/L/Displays/etc....Copied the folder to my desktop, Modified the 21st binary to A5 within My DisplayVendorID-4d10 Folder. Renamed the Folder to DisplayVendorID-4d11. And added. Now do i still need to inject EDID within clover? Also remove the custom EDID i originally had in my plist? -

So 160MB would be a better option than 192MB? -

Inspiron 7370: unable to obtain graphics acceleration

When i run EDID in darwim dumper it just generates an empty EDID folder. Due to only being able to boot with an invalid PlatformID 0x12345678. Now i can boot with 0x59120000 and use an external monitor to get QE/CI. But would that cause the EDID output from Darwin to be from the source of the external monitor? -

I have not. Ive had trouble getting my EDID info due to always have to boot with 0x12345678. Im not to sure how to setup a custom folder properly in S/L/D/Contents/Resources/Overides -

@BronxteckWindows 10. Yeah you have to turn off windows defender before you can download it or run it. Temporarily turn off defender and run the toolkit. Then you can turn it back on once you've done your thing. -

Yes sir. Ive also tried with and without FakePCIID and FakePCIID intel just to see if it was causing an issue. It always ends in the same result.
