DeathByBlunderbuss
Hey everyone I managed to get everything working on my D630 with 10.6.8 but if I try to boot normally it just hangs at the apple logo, if I boot with -v it gets into snow leopard about 1/3 of the time. The rest or the time I'm hit with the kernel panic attached below. Also when I do make it into snow leopard it only runs for about 10 minutes and then completely freezes. So close and yet so far any help would be appreciated greatly, thanks!
Freedomrock
Did you install EDP and run EDP Command?
DeathByBlunderbuss
Yes I did, could I have chosen a wrong kext during configuration?
Administrators Bronxteck Posted January 7, 2012 Administrators Share Posted January 7, 2012 hmm weird looks like it got stuck in the middle of loading fakesmc.... is this a clean install of edp? make sure you dont have fake smc any where other than in E/E and inside 0EDP.kext in s/l/e
DeathByBlunderbuss
Yes it was a clean install, there were a bunch of fakesmcs where they didn't belong so I deleted them, and I still sometimes get the same panic on boot. System seems to be much more stable once I get into snow leopard though.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted January 10, 2012 Administrators Share Posted January 10, 2012 rebuild your catches.... they might still carry the corrupted fakesmc's info. also do a permissions repair with disk utility.
