egore
Hello all. I am attempting to 'hotpatch' my XPS 9343, but I am not sure I am on the right track. I do have a functional machine however. Biggest issue right now is no sound at all. I know the codec is ALC288 for this machine. I have tried Mirone's AppleHDA patcher as well as VoodooHDA without success. It seems something is preventing the OS to even see the vanilla AppleHDA. Files attached. Thank you! debug_7308.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 23, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 23, 2017 Use Lilu.kext + AppleALC.kext with layout-ID =
egore
I have tried that as well, without any success. What to try next? Thanks.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 23, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 23, 2017 Really, because the patch was specific to that system... • Added ALC288 layout-id 13 for Dell XPS 9343 by InsanelyDeepak Your Config.plist and SSDT-HDEF.aml both shows layout-id = 3, they both need to be changed to 13 Make sure you have vanilla AppleHDA in /S/L/E The 3 patches in KextToPatch disabled VoodooHDA + AppleHDADisabler removed Repair permission and rebuild cache
