spikar
Successfully installed Sierra on a Dell Optiplex 9020. Wondering if I can get the ATI HD 8490 Graphics Card working? It boots up - just doesn't run smooth - screen flicker. Anyone can assist me? Also, Needing assistance with the Audio not working. Plugging in speakers via the rear and doesn't work. Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 15, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 15, 2017 See here. Audio only work on front headphone jack and HDMI audio Try Lilu + whatevergreen.kext, if that doesn't work, then it's not supported. Just use the onboard HD4600, you'll need to physically remove the ATI card.

spikar
Hey Jake, Lilu + whatevergreen kext didn't solve. I've removed the gpu and running onboard HD. Get's stuck about half way on the apple loading logo. Tried booting off the USB, gets stuck as well.

brousseau6933
Use SwitchResX or ResXtreme and change billion colors to million (or 10 bit to 8 bit in ResXtreme). Unfortunately, the login screen will still be affected by the psychedelic colors...
