[SOLVED] Dell Latitude E6540: audio issues under High Sierra

Im running High sierra 10.13.3 on my E6540

i7-4800 MQ, intel hd4600, ALC 292

 

I followed JakeLo's guide and patched files

 

AppleHDA_ALC292.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext installed in Library/Extension

layout-id = 1 in config.plist. but sound still doesn't work

run these and post the output

      sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E*

      sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E*
      sudo touch -f /L*/E*
      sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E*
      sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E*
      sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E*
      sudo kextcache -Boot -U /
