Dell Latitude E5580 Kaby lake

Hello Guys 

 

just bought new Dell latitude e5580 

anyone tried to install macosx on it 

I'm not that professional to do it and I didn't find any guide for this laptop 

sorry for my bad English  hope you will understand me well 

 

here is its specification 

  • CPU Intel Quad-Core i7 (7th Gen) 7820HQ @2.9GHz, Turbo Speed up to 3.9GHz
  • RAM 16GB DDR4 2400MHz
  • Integrated Intel HD630 Graphics + discrete NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
  • 1TB HDD 
  • M2 2280 slot for SSD  
  • Realtek ALC3246 audio
  • Integrated Webcam
  • Combo wireless 802.11a/b/g/n/ac + Bluetooth
  • Gigabit Ethernet LAN card
  • SD card reader
  • Headphone/microphone combo jack
  • 2 x USB 3.0 with Power Share
  • USB-C/DisplayPort
  • HDMI + VGA output ports
 
So is it possible to install hackintosh on it ?

Dell no longer make E series model which uses the E-Dock. Your system is Latitude 5580, not E5580.

Try to follow this thread, post if you encounter issue

Your model differs a bit in that it has an Nvidia card as well.

A different set of DSDT/SSDT will be needed.

When you got your USB installer created and booted to Clover, hit F4 on the keyboard.

Then compress and attach /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Origin folder here for patching
