Piraterex lk
thank you for your instant response. have few more questions For supporting it does not have anything to do with the laptop model as long as it has the same card size, right? This model also have bluetooth 3.0 is it working, as nothing is mentioned in the topic there? Is it having sleeping and waking problem as some of the wifi pci does? Administrators Hervé Posted June 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted June 2, 2018 Topic is about Wireless/wifi only as its title implies, it does not cover Bluetooth capabilities and eventual support, even if listed cards are combo. Cards support under OS X bears no relation to the computer model. Cards support on given computer models may be subject to whitelisting (eg: HP, Lenovo). You'll have to check that out yourself. Piraterex lk
so will it support bt? i have already researched, but couldn't find a fully functional tutorial for 10.12.
Administrators Hervé Posted June 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted June 2, 2018 Most probably if it has a Broadcom chip (it'll be listed under SysProfiler->USB). You'll need to apply/install the usual patches/kexts. But know that you'll not have all the BT features as a real Mac. https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-BrcmPatchRAM
Piraterex lk
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Atheros_AR5BHB92 It says "As used by HP, this device amy have a PCI ID of 168c:002a (103c:3041)." so this with work well with hp right?
Administrators Hervé Posted June 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted June 2, 2018 I've no idea whether your HP model has a BIOS whitelist or not; you have to check that out on HP's website and/or on the Net.
