mcac
Hy. First, Thank you @Jake Loso much for the great help. I am on the same situation , the company provided me the same model, and I and running HS10.13.16. Last week, something strange happens. When I try to use a headphone, I only can hear a terrible noise, what doesn't happen in the laptop speakers I've already try use kext utility to repair permissions , but no success. On console I only have this log about sound: Sep 17 08:01:06 mcezzares-MacBook-Pro com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.preference.sound.remoteservice[1112]): Service exited due to signal: Killed: 9 sent by com.apple.preference.sound.remot[1112] What can I do ? Do you have any suggestion ? Thank you so much.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 17, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2018 Do you have CodecCommander.kext installed in /L/E or /S/L/E? And SSDT-ALC256.aml in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched If that still have issue, try switching layout-id to 11, you'll need the latest AppleALC.kext
