iamlhhoang
Dear all, I'am using macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and I setup as this topic: After I install, I can use F1 for mute, F2 for volume_decrement, F3 for volume_decrement and F6 for brightness_decrement, but I cant control brightness_increment. And I want "F" function as Windows (F11&F12) for brightness control. Plz help me. Thank so much.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2019 Fn+B will work. For F11 and F12 to work, you need to install VoodooPS2Controller.kext but it's not very functional for this model 1

Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2019 You can also use Karabiner-Elements app to set the Fn keys. See here for example https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/9179-dell-latitude-e7x70-clover-uefi-only/?do=findComment&comment=64816

Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2019 Karabiner-Elements...not Karabiner. I'm using it now on my E7470 typing this very message. I've been using it since Sierra, since Karabiner only supports up to El Capitan.

Eddar_Stark
In relation to this topic. I have a Dell E7470, I5 6300U. I have used Jake's pack to install Catalina and both fn + B - Fn + s, and f11 - f12 (with Karabiner elements) show the brightness bar, but it does not decrease the level, until it reaches the end of the bar that the brightness is gone suddenly. Any idea?... IOReg.ioreg
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 9, 2020 Moderators Share Posted February 9, 2020 Not seeing an issue from the IOReg file Post debug file
Eddar_Stark
I don't detect it either. In fact I have installed "Quickshade" a small program to control the brightness from the bar and it works.
