sO_omuch
No luck with this one either. I wonder why it's this hard to make this HDMI port work. Checked on Windows and it shows HDMI was connected to Intel UHD 620. MacBook Pro(WhiskeyLake).ioreg
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 24, 2020 Moderators Share Posted April 24, 2020 So I assume it's working in Windows with the same cable you're currently using on the Mac?
sO_omuch
Yes it is working on windows using the same HDMI cable and monitor.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 25, 2020 Moderators Share Posted April 25, 2020 Download latest Hackintool.app Launch it. Under Patch tab, click on Info On menu bar, click on Framebuffer and select MacOS 10.14 Back to the tool, still under Info, on bottom right, click on the eye. This will update the Platform ID of your current setup. Now, click on the Connectors tab, you should see Index 0, Type LVDS is high lighted green which is your internal display. Now plug in your HDMI monitor and see if any of the index(es) are highlighted red Post screenshot
sO_omuch
I've read some guides about Hackintool patching as well but I can't get this same part where you should see a red highlighted index from the connectors tab. Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 25, 2020 Moderators Share Posted April 25, 2020 Ok, since both port 5 & 6 are not HDMI, let's try 7 config.plist.zip
sO_omuch
Tried this and Laptop crashes as soon as I connect the HDMI cable. Attached debug with IOReg. debug_5050.zip
sO_omuch
Got HDMI port working with the help of Hackintool using my working config.plist with values from attached screenshot. Tested HDMI audio as well and its working fine. I guess this solves my HDMI port issue. Thank you very much @Jake Lo for having so much patience in helping me fix this issue.
