Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 14, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 14, 2020 Do you have multitouch gestures? I believe your touchpad can be improved like HP840 G3 with VoodooSMBUS/VoodooRMI
PrabhuR
Does your dual boot work with Open Core?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 17, 2020 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2020 If your DSDT is patched properly then yes, otherwise you''ll need boot from BIOS.
acquarius.13
@PrabhuR Sincerely, I didn't test it and I will not test it in that machine. On the other hand, I tried to boot my internal win10 (on another pc) through external hard drive with opencore. The result is a continuous bootloop from the very beginning. I suppose this behaviour is related to the way opencore treats windows: as a bootcamp partition. I will not modify my internal windows partition so I will try to do this (and I recommend you to do the same): create a partition on the external hard drive suitable for your windows partition, clone the internal win10 partition to the external (using CCC, for example) and follow the dortania guide about multiboot (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) systems. Then, try to boot the external win10 partition using opencore. I hope I explained it properly and sufficiently clear. I hope..
dauwie
Hello, I have exact the same laptop, everything works but I can't seem to get the intel 620 to work. Any advice? It keeps saying 4mb in device properties. Thanks in advance.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 6, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2020 Did you set your BIOS accordingly? In the BIOS, under Built-In Device Options Set Video memory size = 64MB
dauwie
Yeah but only after the installation, Should I have done that before I installed?
