Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 12, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2020 Hervé also reported the same on his 7490. I guess it's not supported right now.
taskto2000
Hello, I tested the method for wifi, it does not work. It is said that it works best on catalina. I tried to update to mojave by launching the catalina install but it doesn't work. How do I do the update?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 16, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2020 Explain with details when you upgrade. "Doesn't work" don't mean much to help you with.
taskto2000
I downloaded catalina, then I dropped it into the app, then I launched the install from app. it does the install and alerts me a problem. From the catalina install window he asks me to restart to terminate install. I end up on clover with 2 icon 1 to booter on mojave and the other to install catalina. I chose catalina enable verbose - debug 0x100 - igfxvesa. it blocks see image
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 16, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2020 You need to upgrade Clover and kexts for Catalina. Clover v5119 is the best before they made / add changes to the structure to support Big Sur. You can get replace your EFI files with this if you can't find the installer. As for kexts update, try using Kext Updater.app. Basically you'll just need to upgrade the following kexts: Lilu, Whatevergreen, AppleALC
taskto2000
Hello, I gave up the idea of going to catalina. despite the kexts and the update of clover, it did not install itself. So I stopped the idea of hackintosh and put a linux distribution. I will see later if someone managed to install Catalina on a latitude 5590
