Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 14, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2020 @moshau use the file posted by Chicken07 here. You might have to add kexts for Intel Wifi / BT
moshau
I have to replace EFI folder on the USB pen? to be able to install from ZERO? or can I do an update from the olarila USB, adding the kexts to S / L / E? thanks jake
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 14, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2020 @moshau Yes, replace the entire EFI folder to the EFI partition of the USB. No kexts needed to be install to /S/L/E, all can be injected from the EFI partition
moshau
but is it to do an update? or to install from scratch? thanks jake
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 14, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2020 @moshau I don't understand your question. If you have already install MacOS to disk but has some issue, then replace the EFI folder in the EFI partition of the installed drive. If your USB installer is not bootable, then replace the EFI folder to the EFI partition of the USB installer, no need to recreate the installer. Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 15, 2020 No, you'll need the updated beta kext for Big Sur. https://openintelwireless.github.io
