Lost-Entrepreneur439
I've heard mixed things about VGA on the E6x30 series, some people saying it does work, other people saying it doesn't, it's currently NOT working for me, nothing happens when I plug in my VGA cable. If VGA is supported on the E6430, how do I fix it? I have a VGA-only monitor that still looks great despite it's age, and it would be nice to use it with macOS on my E6430. EFI is attached to this topic. EFI.zip
Administrators Hervé Posted May 29 Administrators Share Posted May 29 No, absolutely no support for VGA output with HD4000 graphics on the Ivy Bridge E6x30 series since early Mountain Lion versions. See here or here. You would have to use an active HDMI-to-VGA adapter for your VGA-only external screen (passive won't work).
