dziwei
myhack will not run since my friend does not have a system password. CANNOT mess up their system. can i add a password temporarily then remove it and their system will act exactly as before? can i add a user that will be able to run with password as administrator level? then delete that user and the system will act exactly as before? alternatives? thanks very much~! dziwei
thanks! I tried my second option after your response, on mt. lion 10.8.2 it worked without incident. created new user/administrator, put all my stuff in shared folder, logged out and back in as new user, run myhack and enter new user password... no problem! logged out and back in as original user and deleted new user never having to change my friends setup. I see you have D630 with BIOS A18 and nvidia graphics running Mountain Lion, would you recommend updating my BIOS before completing this install? mine is currently A13. thanks a ton! Administrators Hervé Posted April 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted April 3, 2013 Arguably, it is somehow easier to update your BIOS from within Windows, so yes, update it before you install OS X.
