splash_7678
I installed ML 10.8.4 on a Dell Optiplex 755. While installation went smoothly, disk r/w speeds are very bad. Any clues how to start troubleshooting this ? System information lists ICH10 AHCI , 1.5 gb/s link speed negotiated, AHCI 1.20 supported ty
Administrators Hervé Posted July 4, 2013 Administrators Share Posted July 4, 2013 I wouldn't judge the performance of a Hackintosh on the basis of these Benchmark tools. Don't rely on them. Are you using SSD or standard HDD? If HDD, what speed? Check your HDD BIOS mode settings too. ideally set it to AHCI or RAID.
splash_7678
Bios is set to AHCI/RAID. HDD is a Westen digital 250GB 150MB/sec SATA1, 7500rpm. I'm not really worried about the benchmark, but file copying is way too slow

splash_7678
Below the IOReg output for anything using irq's I don't seem to suffer from the typical conflict between HPET and the sata controller. ioregoutput.txt
