cristoslc
I'm running 10.6.6 with EDP 1.6 Final (NVIDIA graphics). The internal wifi card is Dell 1390, and I also tried it with an external USB adapter, Alfa AWUS036NH. In either case, I am able to successfully connect to a wireless network and get an IP address. However, when I try to load a webpage, I typically get a timeout/site not found/host not reachable error. On the rare occasions when I am able to get a site to load, it takes an extremely long time (> 60 seconds for google.com). Has anyone else run into this issue? I would normally suspect a bad wifi card, but in this case I have identical symptoms with the external USB adapter. Suggestions?
Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 17, 2011 Administrators Share Posted March 17, 2011 have you tried resetting your wireless router or checking the configs of the router, see if there's a newer firmware update. also reset your cable/dsl modem. cristoslc
Same issue at multiple wifi hotspots. The external adapter started working ok, though, so I'm going to try replacing the internal one.
