alexmacd5290
This is a post about running 10.8.5 on a Dell D630 with Intel graphics. I got Mountain Lion installed using the guide on this website and it worked OK once it was running but I had a strange problem I wonder if anyone could assist with. Every time it booted up I could not move the mouse for a good 5-10 mins. Once it allowed me to move the mouse things were OK. Is there an optimal install for this model? At the moment I only have 2 GB of RAM and a HDD. I'm wondering if upgrading the RAM and hard drive to an SSD would solve the issue? I'm just wondering how smooth an experience people have had with the same model of laptop on Mountain Lion. Thanks
Administrators Hervé Posted October 23, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 23, 2013 When you do the EDP System Build, try the ANV-Slice PS2 kext pack to start with; this used to be the recommended PS2 kext pack for ML until the newer pack detailed and released on the forum appeared. alexmacd5290
I re-ran EDP using the suggested kext and that seems to have sorted the issue. I've lost my wifi again but i will get it back. There seems to be lots of posts on the internet about wifi "no hardware found" issues.
