JollyJamma
Hi all I've tried to install OSX on my system and it isn't happy. I'll try again (I have an old 320 gig 2.5" drive to play around with) but here are my system specs Core i5-3210 Socket 988b rPGA HM75 chipset 0FWKV7 BIOS A11 HD4000 graphics Any input would be greatly appreciated. Darvinko
A better description of "it isn't happy" and which install method you used, as well as any boot flags used would make it easier to respond with meaningful advice. If you haven't, try using the -v boot flag and describe the output, or symptoms (such as black screen, freeze at Apple logo, etc.)

If you haven't, try using the -v boot flag and describe the output, or symptoms (such as black screen, freeze at Apple logo, etc.) I shall post that. You're right, it isn't happy is not a good description. there are chameleon flags for the hd4000 read the help file you need to try option 0-11 Thanks

JollyJamma
Thank you. Now I'm seeing that GPT should be enabled really and trying to convert my system to the following 256 gig SSD MX100 with OSX on it 500 gig stock drive in DVD bay with adapter running Windows. Dual boot on one hard drive is tough and the likelyhood of data loss high. Windows won't do GPT unless you force it (Shift+F10) and format the drive.
