Hi,

Try when you have installed 10.6.8 to replace the IONetworkingFamily.kext from 10.6.7 in /System/Library/Extentions

You can download it from here: http://team.osxlatitude.com/kexts/10.6.7/IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip

And you use kexthelper to install it: http://team.osxlatitude.com/tools/Kext-Helper-b7.zip

I have already made this change file this week but without success, but I think I also changed other files at the same time, I tried again with only that file to see.

Unfortunately for my tests, my wife needs a laptop today and I put the 10.6.7 using Time Machine.

I would put myself tonight (or last night) and I'll keep you informed of the results.

A big thank you for your help.

Good Sunday.

Pascal.

Maybe De-activate the wifi switch in bios, taking it out of the equation.

Then use that system-info app (third party app) to see if a kext is being loaded.

I had major issues with wifi not even showing up on menu...till I got the right kext.

I ended up putting it in my extra folder. It was the broadcom 43xx family kext i think.
