Basilio
Then report back please. I made another usb stick via myHack, then put D630 Extra folder via myHack, then put AppleACPIPlatform.kext file in to /Extra/Extensions via Finder, then ran myFix (quick) via myHack. At the final i got a kernel panic on my D630. What's the next?
Administrators Hervé Posted August 22, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 22, 2014 Which exact version of Lion are you installing and what kind of wireless card do you have? If Intel, remove it or disable it in BIOS; it'll need replacement since unsupported.

Administrators Hervé Posted August 22, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 22, 2014 Look at the inventory of supported/unsupported wifi card in R&D section of the forum. There are many cards you can choose from.
romanboy
Thanks Hervé and Basilio for your help so far! I've followed the steps above: Disabled my Intel Wifi. Set the BIOS settings as per the post in the forum. I made a usb stick via myHack, with 10.7 Lion from the app store. then put D630 Extra folder on the USB stick via myHack, then put AppleACPIPlatform.kext file in to /Extra/Extensions via Finder, then ran myFix (quick) via myHack onto the USB stick. I installed the OS onto my drive. Half way through, it asked me if I want to add an Extra folder. I chose the D630 Extra folder. It asked me some more question, very well explained, and I chose accordingly. Once the installation for 10.7 is finished, I get a white screen, with a cursor, which I can move. Nothing else. I also tried to add AppleACPIPlatform.kext to the D630 Extra folder once it asks me after the installation, but also I get the same thing. Anything else I can try to get this working? I have an intel GPU D630 with the low res screen.

romanboy
Doing this now. Man, you're a saviour! Also, do you happen to have an Extra folder for 10.10, please? I'd like to install 10.10 on this machine as well Edit: don't worry, just realised that 10.7 is the latest OS I can run on my GMA 3100.
