vclawson Posted April 30, 2015 Share Posted April 30, 2015 I just finished installing Yosemite 10.10.3 on my E6430 and everything is working great except for two issues. My specs E6430 Core i5 NVS5200/HD4000 Optimus disabled in bios 8GB RAM WiFi card is AzureWave Broadcom BCM94352HMB I followed this guide to get the WiFi and bluetooth working http://www.tonycrapx86.com/network/104850-guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2-89.html I'm using the latest chameleon boot loader My two issues are as follows: 1. I can't recover from sleep - I have to hard reboot if it goes to sleep. 2. I can only see 2.4 GHz wifi networks. I cannot see any 5GHz networks. I have tried the kexts on the above site to no avail. Use Caffeine.app to keep system from sleeping or you'll have to hard reboot 2) You need the new patch for 10.10.3 here . BCM94352 5 GHz/BT Handoff Patch (10.10 and newer) 1. I installed the fakeSMC and now I have the following in the system info: Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x2123) Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (7.15.166.24.3) MAC Address: 00:6b:9e:06:13:ed Locale: Unknown Country Code: XT Supported PHY Modes: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Supported Channels: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 Wake On Wireless: Supported AirDrop: Supported Status: Not Associated Still no higher channels and the country Code I think needs to be US. Is there a way to use the HD4000 only and still be able to use the HDMI out for an external monitor? Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 1, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 1, 2015 Sleep will work with HD4000 (Optimus Enabled), but not HDMI as it's tied to the Nvidia card.
