moonman
Update: okay, I downloaded the kexts Jake Lo listed for 10.10.5 and: - first dragged them to Extra/Extensions/SLE to replace the ones there (maybe no effect anyway). - second, installed them using Kext Wizard into /S/L/E - third, ran the Terminal commands in Jake Lo's post and in Herve's guide Rebooted, but: no Sound, and now have an X thru the Battery icon (and says no battery installed). Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 8, 2015 Moderators Share Posted September 8, 2015 Not exactly sure where you got your bootpack. If you followed Hervé's guide, his /Extra folder does not include /Extra/Extensions/SLE, but is in my guide. He also mentioned patched AppleHDA and VoodooHDA, so if you had AppleHDADisabler in /S/L/E, obviously AppleHDA won't load. You also mentioned audio ID = 0. Both Hervé and my DSDT have audio id = 12 (hex = 0C). So uncertain where you obtained your DSDT. You can easily change it in your DSDT under HDEF/_DSM. When you upgrade from Mavericks, were you using myHack for the build? If so, go to /S/L/E and delete myHack.kext. Repair permission and repair cache. Hopefully after going through all the above you should have audio working.
