mergesoft
I have a Dell Latitude E6520 with a i7 2.7 GHz and a NVDIA Quadro NVS 4200m with 512 MB of VRAM. I can't seem to get the audio working. I would really like if the internal speakers worked with OS X. What can I do?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 11, 2015 Which OS X have you installed? Are you using Clover or Chameleon loader? What audio are you using currently if any? Which guide did you follow to install OS X ?
mergesoft
OS X Yosemite. I used the Extra Folder from the Dell Latitude E6220 but, with the DSDT from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/342-latitude-e6420-nvs-4200-dsdtaml/ Clover. Internal Speakers. Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 11, 2015 Please upload your Config file. I'll add the patches and kext for audio.

In that dsdt the AppleHDA layout-id is 0, the most kexts are patched for layout-id 12 (hex 0C) , you should edit the dsdt or AppleHDA.kext to match together
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted December 11, 2015 @mergesoft, Replace Config and DSDT to your system and install the kext to /System/Library/Extensions Repair permission and rebuild cache sudo touch /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U / E6520_audio.zip
