This is a guide to install MacOS on a Asus K55VM Specifications: Processor : Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor (6M Cache, 2.30 GHz) Graphics Processor(GPU) : Intel HD 4000 and NVIDIA Optimus GeForce GT 630M Chipset : Intel HM76 Express Chipset Hard disk : Hitachi 500GB 5400rpm HDD RAM : 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM Wifi : Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter LAN : Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Audio : Realtek High Definition Audio ALC270 USB 3.0 : Intel Panther Point PCH - USB 3.0 xHCI Controller Touchpad : Elantech Touchpad v4 Hardware Webcam : USB2.0 UVC HD WebCam Card reader : Realtek RTS5289 PCI-E Card Reader Monitor : AU Optronics B156XW02 V6 WXGA 15.6 16:9 HD 1366x768 Optical Drive : HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT51N SCSI CdRom Battery : 6Cells 4700 mAh 50 Whrs Interface : 1 x Microphone-in jack 1 x Headphone-out jack 1 x VGA port/Mini D-sub 15-pin for external monitor 2 x USB 3.0 port(s) 1 x USB 2.0 port(s) 1 x RJ45 LAN Jack for LAN insert 1 x HDMI Working:Graphics with QE/CI on Intel HD4000 GPUAudio with AppleHDALANUSB2.0 and USB3.0Webcam Optical DriveHDMIBatteryElantech Touchpad Sleep, Processor P&C-States with Native power managementFn Hotkeys Not working:Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter (need to replace with supported card)NVIDIA® Optimus GeForce® GT 630MRealtek RTS5289 PCI-E Card Reader Unknown:None Issues:VGA work but not good For Installation: (Standard)Follow the Steps in the link below, starting with Pre installation, Installation and Post Installation: http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/documentation/ Changes:Wifi : Original Ralink RT5390 not work (Replaced by: Atheros Ar5bhb92-h)) Optical Drive : Not Present (Replaced by SSD Crucial 128GB) Custom Guide: What do you need:- A USB, one with >8gb- OS X High Sierra 10.13 bootable USB (search in google)- Files attached on this post How to prepare USBs: 1- Download this OS X bootable USB2- Install RAW image on your usb (Mac OSX) Or use rawtousb program for windowsOpen the terminal:Find your USB stick- diskutil list Unmount USB- diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk2Copy RAW Image- sudo dd if=[drag and drop the raw file in terminal] of=/dev/rdisk2 bs=1m Wait to finish and now you have a usb install ready to copy kext and clover 3- Download the file attached, extract and open the Clover Configurator.app4- Mount your EFI USB partition without format and then copy EFI folder of Clover EFI into5- Copy Apps folder into your usb install So now you have a full USB Install for this Asus How to install Mac OSX in your notebook:1- Boot installation from USB2- Format HDD on GPT3- Select Partition to install and finish installation4- Now we have Mac OS installed 5- Open the Clover Configurator.app6- Mount your EFI HDD partition and then copy EFI folder into7- Then go into BIOS, in Boot menu select "Add New Boot Option" and complete:Add boot option: (put a name) for example: Clover bootSelect Filesystem: (Select HDD that have Mac OSX Installed)Path for boot option: \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi Select Create and put the new boot option first. Check too the VRAM of HD4000 is 64MB because probably if it's changed not work Save changes and reboot 8- So, now when system boot show Clover bootloader and just select the Mac OSX partition and press enter If you did it all Mac boot you did well Copy HWMonitor.app into Applications folder if you want see temperatures and frequency and enjoy your Hackintosh!!!
