LatOSX
Hi! I am fairly new but know enough to install 10.6 and 10.7 on my D630. I installed 10.6 and got everything working after messing around with a couple of things. However now that I have Lion installed, I am unable to figure out the sound issue. The problem is that it cracks and pops and is not very smooth. As far as I can tell there is no delay, however. Soundflower only makes things worse. It disables the microphone and I think it also creates a delay. Another issue is that I think my wifi card, which is a Broadcom card, supports 802.11 n, but as far as I can see, I am only getting g. Thanks in advance for any input! -Graham
LatOSX
Also when I plug in headphones, the output does not switch to headphones, it stays on speakers. To change it, I have to restart the whole thing. I am not sure what the deal is but I would appreciate any help I can get.

TreyM
I had this issue on an older Acer laptop of mine. It turned out the audio drivers were set to 192khz! Set it to 48 or 41khz at 16 bit if yours defaulted to 192 like mine did. It may help alleviate the crackles. Command + Shift + U should open the utilities folder.
