[SOLVED] E5450 El Capitan success.. need some minor help

Hi everyone I have successfully installed El Capitan and most everything is working

 

I7 5600u + Intel HD5500

16gb Ram

250gb ssd

 

I have full QE/CI 

Audio working with VoodooHDA

Trackpad/Keyboard working

Edimax USB adapter working (for now until I buy internal card)

 

 

The only thing I haven't got working is the backlight control, webcam, and I'm not sure if power management is working correctly. Can anyone help?

Have you tried bootpack from here?

Also check the update section below it (post# 4) for any updated files.

Awesome! that bootpack is working great! I did try it earlier but for some reason it wasn't working. Anyways it fixed all my issues. Any way to check if power management is working properly? Do I still need to generate ssdt?

Yes, you'll need to generate SSDT for you CPU. See my E7450 guide with link to the beta version of SSDTPRGen.sh.

After that you could check by using PikerAlpha's AppleIntelInfo.kext

Ok I did that and copied it to ACPI/Patched   and the output I get now from the apple intel info kext is

If you have the M.2 slot for wireless, go for the DW1560. Works perfectly on OS X.
