Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 23, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 23, 2017 Go ahead and attach an HDMI monitor and then send me the IOREG file while the monitor is attached. If you have a DisplayPort cable as well, attach that and send me the IOREG while that is attached. Patched your DSDT/SSDT from post #76 so you won't be using from E7470 model E5470_comi.zip
comi
I have updated DSDT to this one and it works like charm. For the external monitor via HDMI, sometime it works sometime not. I attached IORegistry when the LCD is plugged to HDMI.Again, a lot of thanks. MacBookPro_comi.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 24, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2017 Does your system have 2 HDMI port? Your IOReg shows both AppleIntelFramebuffer@1 and @2 set to HDMI. Download Clover Configurator 4.38, open your Config.plist and change the smbios to MBP13,2 MBP12,1 is for Broadwell. At the time I wrote the guide, there's no Skylake Smbios available, but it is now. comi
SMBios 13,2 does not work on El Capitan 10.11, say "version of mac osx is not supported" on boot. I tried different SMBios but no luck so far. For the framebuffer, are there any chance because I use your E7470 (HDMI + DP) config.plist
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 24, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2017 Try MB9,1. If you only have 1 HDMI port, then enable HD 520 HDMI #2, but not HD 520 HDMI, this should be a DisplayPort.
comi
I changed to MB9,1 and disable HDMI #2 but it does not work. I found a work around this issue: plugin monitor to HDMI, close laptop lid and open it again. Now both internal LCD and external LCD work. There are flickers on external LCD occasionally but it seems workable. Could it be issue related to HDMI audio because I can not see it on SysProfiler? Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 25, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2017 Enable HDMI #2, and disable the other, not the other way around. Plug in HDMI and send me the IOREG
comi
I switched between HDMI #1 and HDMI #2 and the result is the same, must close lid and open again to have both displays work. Attach IOReg of HDMI #1 enabled and HDMI #2 enabled here. MacBookPro_Comi_jan25.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 25, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2017 Stick with HDMI #2 enabled as that's the port for you HDMI. You never confirm if you have a Displayport. Update to latest FakePCIID + FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio + FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics Does HDMI Audio work?

Update to latest FakePCIID + FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio + FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics Does HDMI Audio work? No, my E5470 does not have Display Port. It has a HDMI port and a VGA port. I've updated to latest FakePCIID + FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio + FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics Here is my /L/E folder: HDMI Audio not found in SysProfile I run "cat /var/log/system.log | HDMI" Jan 25 14:31:43 MacBookPro com.apple.kextd[44]: FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext has no Info.plist file.
