glebanych
What Works: Battery Indicator Bluetooth (with aftermarket DW1560 card) Display Brightness Slider Graphics (HD 5500, no GeForce 920M for sure) Keyboard Power Management Touchpad (basic operations, no multitouch) Webcam Wireless (with aftermarket DW1560 card) What Doesn't Work: Sound (ALC255) Multitouch gestures So the question is how to make sound to work? I tried 2 different kexts + patching using MaciASL- messed up whole system, maybe I did something wrong. I tried VoodooHDA- sound is working, but the quality is poor, especially in headphones. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2017 Try my bootpack here. 5558_HD5500_Only. The audio kext is in Other/LE, hotpatches in Config.plist. You'll need the vanilla AppleHDA in /S/L/E incase you removed it.
glebanych
Got this error when using config.plist from your bootpack.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2017 Please attach your Config. Should just need to copy the hot patches over. You did your own DSDT/SSDT patching?
glebanych
My config and clover folder (if needed) attached. I tried patching audio by myself, but got kernel panic (or similar error). config.zip CLOVER.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2017 You don't have DSDT/SSDT patches, that's why my Config would cause KP. I see you have AppleALC in your Kext folder, I assume it's for ALC255, but you need to set the layout-id to load it. Do you know the layout-id? Set that to your Config file under Devices / Audio / Inject. If you are going to use my Config file, you'll need to copy the DSDT/SSDT and Kext files as well. glebanych
Ok, after using your config AND dsdt/ssdt patches sound is working, but now I have no wifi ("no hardware installed")
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2017 In the folder /Kexts/Other/LE, copy all the kexts there to /Library/Extensions and run the permission fix and rebuild cache. See here
glebanych
Bluetooth is working, still now wifi with same issue (no hardware)
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2017 Make sure to add the extra patch for Sierra. My bootpack was make for ElCapitan without that patch.
