  1. DSDT.aml is missing, yes. Do i really need it if everything (except this problem) is working fine? CodecCommander.kext is installed under S/L/E, along with AppleHDA_ALC255.kext. Disabled the patch you mentioned- sound is still bad.
  2. Update- audio is working fine, but there is a problem with headphones. It sounds like audiojack is broken (I can't hear all instruments when song is playing), but it's not (everything is fine on Win10 and was fine on 10.11). Any suggestions?
  3. Yay! It's working after installing kexts, adding variables to kextstopatch and inject audio = 3. Thanks a lot for your help, Jake Lo
  4. Ok, after adding that patch still "no hardware". Fresh installed 10.12.2- same. If i want to enable audio using my config (with working wifi), should i only install 2 kexts from your bootpack (applehda+codec commander) and add everything that mention AppleHDA from your config-kextstopatch, or there is something more i need to install/apply?
  5. Bluetooth is working, still now wifi with same issue (no hardware)
  6. Ok, after using your config AND dsdt/ssdt patches sound is working, but now I have no wifi ("no hardware installed")
  7. My config and clover folder (if needed) attached. I tried patching audio by myself, but got kernel panic (or similar error). config.zip CLOVER.zip
  8. Got this error when using config.plist from your bootpack.
  9. What Works: Battery Indicator Bluetooth (with aftermarket DW1560 card) Display Brightness Slider Graphics (HD 5500, no GeForce 920M for sure) Keyboard Power Management Touchpad (basic operations, no multitouch) Webcam Wireless (with aftermarket DW1560 card) What Doesn't Work: Sound (ALC255) Multitouch gestures So the question is how to make sound to work? I tried 2 different kexts + patching using MaciASL- messed up whole system, maybe I did something wrong. I tried VoodooHDA- sound is working, but the quality is poor, especially in headphones. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  10. Ok, will do that However it's working totally fine on Win10 (i have a dualboot).
  11. I edited my previous post right before you replied So it's working now, but I don't what prevented it from working before, I made zero changes to config/kexts/dsdt.
  12. Yes. Tried previous versions- no luck. UPD: Something weird happened. I booted without caches- no wifi. Reboot- nothing. Rebooted one more time, left laptop for 10-15 minutes, waked it from sleep- wifi is working. What is that?
  13. Rebuilt cache using DPCIManager, should i use something else? Also tried to install FakePCIID kexts to S/L/E, booting without caches- nothing changed.
  14. Already replaced after first reboot, nothing changed (the output in terminal was blank). I am currently on 10.11.6 and using the bootpack from this forum. Was using it some time ago on 10.11.4, everything was fine.
  15. Nothing changed Output: "airport is not a Wi-Fi interface. Turning off/on the only airport interface found: en1"
  16. Already tried that, as well as using "off" first. Still nothing.
  17. After a day with Sierra, I rolled back to 10.11.6, and now I have an exact same problem- can't turn wifi on. Should I use some patches in addition to latest kexts by Rehabman? P.S. I'm using a bootpack from this thread: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8984-inspiron-5558-i5-5200u-el-capitan/
  18. Yep, it's working without adding the patches you mentioned, just updated to 10.12.2.
  19. Well, I don't know what happened, but after booting back to macOS for adding these patches, wifi started to work Is there anything to know when updating from 10.12 to 10.2.2? Should I add the patches you mentioned?
  20. Hi. So I did a fresh install of 10.12, used same kexts and patches as before, and can't turn wifi on. Clicking on the button to turn it on does nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks. P.S. Clover folder is in the attachments CLOVER.zip
  21. Hi. I have the same problem with ALC255 on Sierra. Followed the steps in post #2 (AppleHDA_ALC255.kext to /L/E, Kext to Patch, vanilla AppleHDA.kext), but no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks UPD: Sound is working (vooodoohda)
  22. The boot issue was totally my fault. The thing is that i had Sierra beta installed before, with EFI volume (configs, kexts, etc). Every time i tried to boot newly installed 10.11.6, Clover used that config and those kexts. That's because I forgot to erase the EFI (or at least I could use F12 key to boot Clover from USB with 10.11.6). As for audio- yes, I have installed both kexts using KextUtility (i guess it fixes permission and do the things with cache) UPDATE: Used a different kext. Sound is working now!
  23. Checked, DVMT looks fine. I googled and discovered that "Waiting for DSMOS" followed by Bluetooth-related warning caused by FakeSMC not loaded. Could it be that? I have FakeSMC.kext in .../10.11 UPDATE: Ok, 10.11.6 finally boots. Wifi and battery status work fine. Unfortunately no USBs, Bluetooth, camera, brightness control, audio I used the kexts from the first post of this thread, but no luck UPDATE 2: Almost everything fixed. The only thing that doesn't work is audio
