highvoltage12v
I had those kexts removed since first using I2C. The first version wasn't really working, it just didn't result in a Kernel Panic
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 27, 2017 Hmm, maybe restoring them? I don't have I2C devices to test. What touchpad did you install? Uploaded a new patch DSDT, make a mistake on the old one Give that one a try
highvoltage12v
I had everything working until I installed the ssd into the machine (I was booting using a USB adapter this whole time) Something is wrong with the patched DSDT causing it to timeout and not booting. When booting from USB I had Voodoo I2c/trackpad working by loading it from a script after startup. I was able to get the keyboard working using voodoops2controller kext. Could you please patch my raw DSDT, everything was working great when booting from usb. EDIT: Adding Flag "Drop_OEM" is allowing me to boot again origin.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 29, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 29, 2017 Hmm, Drop_OEM was enabled in my Config, did you make the change? VoodooPS2Controller, is that from Rehabman's GitHub or another? Did the new DSDT-i2c work to enable your touchpad? Were you able to get everything working with the bootpack I provided? Audio internal/headphone, network, HDMI video/audio, backlight control...etc. Please confirm so I add this model to my Clover guide.
highvoltage12v
Hmm, Drop_OEM was enabled in my Config, did you make the change? Yes I made the change earlier when I was having issues with the other DSDT. VoodooPS2Controller, is that from Rehabman's GitHub or another? The kext I used was from SYSCL's XPS 9350 installation pack. I will try your PS2 kext again now that I know the DSDT issues are solved. Were you able to get everything working with the bootpack I provided? Audio internal/headphone, network, HDMI video/audio, backlight control...etc. My machine does have the ALC256 audio controller and is recognized I have working mic and volume control, headphone detection works, but no sound from speakers or headphones. Codec commander is installed along with ALC 256 kext. Backlight brightness adjustment works. Plugging in HDMI results in the internal screen turning black and no output on HDMI. highvoltage12v
Did the new DSDT-i2c work to enable your touchpad? Yes the newest DSDT allows Voodoo i2c to utilize the trackpad.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 31, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2017 Not sure if you gotten audio to work, give this a try if you haven't Remove AppleALC from /E/C/K/Other Add SSDT's to /E/C/A/Patched Replace Config.plist to /E/Clover Add kext to /L/E and Repair permission and rebuild cache 5480_audio.zip
highvoltage12v
With those changes again the devices show up, Mic input works but there is no sound. I think this is a Kabylake issue because my Alienware 13 r3 had this exact issue. However this a a skylake cpu but a 5x80 series machine.

highvoltage12v
That was it! now I have sound, HDMI video output is working now too. Ethernet only works if the cable is inserted on startup. Thank You.
